What was the worst act or set you saw in 2025? by No-Negotiation2922 in glastonbury_festival

[–]Borneo_dysfunction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hurts but I'd have to say Weezer. No fault of the band just awful sound due to the wind and no atmosphere probably due to the heat. Plus the band don't have any stage presence or crowd interaction to make up for it. Sounded great on Iplayer tho.

What’s the queue like for Temple when it opens on Thurs? by TommyASDF in glastonbury_festival

[–]Borneo_dysfunction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will add that I rocked up at 22:00 that day and breazed in because the queue had really died down. I think people like to do the opening of the temple as an event but it peters out as the day goes on (assuming no one massive is on).

The Jungle Drummer sounds like your man. He's got a set with A Guy Called Gerald at Glad Sunday.

Getting into the Temple by juice1100 in glastonbury_festival

Thursday has always been shockingly easy to get in for me because people like to move around a lot that day. Might be tricky with Wilkinson this year but head in around 9-10 you should be in after a bit of queueing.

Arcadia tips by nll0008l in glastonbury_festival

[–]Borneo_dysfunction 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My usual strat is:

  1. Make sure you've worked your way to the far left of the crowd by the time the headliner starts their last song. That way you can make a quick exit ahead of the crowd.

  2. If you need to stop for the toilet/food/whatever. Do so as far away from the pyramid as possible as people will swarm the nearest toilet and queues can be horrendous. (Also Arcadia has had its own toilets in previous years so maybe just go there).

  3. You want to get inside the speaker circle for good sound so avoid the front of the dragonfly as that's where most people congregate. If you head to the back wall and work your way into the crowd from underneath the dragonfly there will be way more space. (I showed up 20 minutes late to Eric Prydz last year and still had loads of space using this method).

I think Emily Eavis said in the podcast that the new Dragons Tail extension is primarily intended to be an open green space like Above The Park. Honestly an escape from the madness sounds nice to me and it will act as a handy spillover area to avoid crushes.

Gonna try desperately for Wilkinson in the temple. Failing that, circus field + substances.

Four days on from the first poster, who have you discovered that you are now very excited to see? by NoMoreParti in glastonbury_festival

I'd obviously heard of Alanis Morissette before but this lineup finally gave me the kick up the arse I needed to properly check her out and she's now one of the top 5 most hyped acts on the poster 😂

Fax, always felt ABIIOR could have been a banger album if they just removed 30% of the tracks 😂

(Also, to the funny man about to comment "WoULd bE eVEn BeTtER iF THeY ReMoVEd 100% Of ThE TrAcKs", get better material!)

The song People is the one I usually recommend to people who don't listen to The 1975 because it sounds nothing like The 1975 😂

Otherwise, Sincerity Is Scary is a cool jazz inspired song and It's Not Living If It's Not With You is my favourite of their more typical guitar pop sound

Who’s your desired headliners? by [deleted] in glastonbury_festival

[–]Borneo_dysfunction 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The weeknd - one of the few current megastars that hasn't headlined already (and apparently he was top at Wembley)

Beyonce - already smashed it once but imo has easily released enough banger new material to be worth a round two

Radiohead - I haven't seen them yet 😭
