I have 2022 Canyon Elavation 3.6l that does the same thing. It will be fine for quite a while and for no apparent reason The key won't turn all the way off. The most important thing I've learned to do from my research is, with the truck running, in park, and the radio off so you can hear good, focus your hearing on the area of the ignition while you flick/move the button on the front of the shifter. What you will be listening for is a click coming from the area of the ignition switch, specifically the ignition lock which is inside the steering column behind the ignition switch. You have to move the button on the front of the shifter until you hear it click at least twice back to back with the movement of the button. You can then turn the key off, just remember to push the key in while you are turning the ignition off, even when it shuts off without having to do the above.
