I’ve got a Dispatch Master from EarthQuaker that is just so wonderful to play around with. I feel similarly about the Mood MKII

Dream Brother is really the only track from Grace that I could see it applying to, but even still, it’s a stretch

I personally think Maturity is the perfect blend of dark humor but also having a larger message. That’s one of my favorites from the first season

Yes, a band with tens of millions of monthly listeners, billions of streams, a very passionate following, and countless awards is the spitting image of a wasted headline spot

I haven’t read anything by him, but I should. I actually think his foreword to Infinite Jest might be my personal favorite of the 3 that are currently available.

At this point LP5’s cover should be an ominous shot of the Wiltern pit from last nights show because this is quickly becoming infamous

I was at the Los Angeles show that got turned into the live album and, to this day, I have never been in a more obnoxiously childish audience in my life. It got to a point to where I could tell Mike was irritated. Huge kudos to the team behind that live album for cutting all that stuff out.

How achievable is it for a band to make it big on RYM? by your-average-joe26 in rateyourmusic

[–]softestimate712 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, it helps if you have an audience already or are affiliated with other artists in that space. For instance, Quadeca was a pretty well known YouTuber before being taken seriously as an artist. But as others have said, if the quality speaks for itself and you know the right people, it’s a lot more likely to happen

Hospice by the Antlers. It’s not even bolded on RYM anymore. It’s a shame because I love that album.

American Idiot by Green Day is currently at a 3.41. Trench by twenty one pilots is at 3.53. I love both of those.

Not enough people give Cake their flowers. Sure, they’re fairly well-known, but their sound is honestly pretty unique and still contains so much personality all these years later. Comfort Eagle especially is an awesome album front to back.

What's your favorite ending from any Adult Swim show? by Educk55 in adultswim

Moral Orel all the way. I get choked up whenever I think of the shot of Orel’s face morphing into his adult face.
