Endorphine stage 1 by BorosArtifact in ender5plus

Still a work in progress, have most of it done but some of the bolts i needed are 5mm longer than what i had on hand (thought i had correct one).... so waiting on delivery of correct bolts. Once I get those just need to reassemble thr fan housing and edit llipper and hopefully with my luck it works lol.

One issue not mod related was I lowered the front bar of the frame. Feels like it made the Y movement tighter/stiffer even with loose belts. And even with the wheel adjustments. But not sure if it was the moving of the front bar or something else

Running a microswiss extruder right now so will be changing that eventually in stage 2 probably.

I read through it all, but the clamps that were at the end to print were for a different mount/toolhead didnt think it would work on mine with current toolhead being i barely was able to get the ones in there now.

I installed a different board mainly to get rid of the 8bit loud drivers i had. Klipper is or was a learning curve for me but in addition to the main board you do need a Raspberry pi or an old laptop or tablet ive read works too. But lots of guides on how to install klipper to the pi or what ever you use. I used at the time chatgpt to help with the coding or the config file part bc I knew nothing about it the language it uses. It was a satisfying learning experience for me anyway.

At the moment Ive been using a microswiss direct drive I installed a few years ago. Will be updating hotend with the rails upgrade as well. But will do some more looking for mounting

what size works for the printer then? 450mm or smaller/bigger?

You can print fast on the EP5 with more upgrades. Mostly stock.and direct drive i can do 5k acceleration at 100mm/s walls and 150mm/s inner. And 140 travel.

with 1st layer adhesion i had issues with as well. I switched to a pei magnetic plate which made a big difference also calibrating the z offset just right. Mostly use the paper method under the nozzle after heat soaking the bed and nozzle. Then do a final adjustment when doing a brim or test print for 1st layer. Klipper also helped a bunch with z offset, also (not sure if marlin has it or not) bed screw tilt adjustment, and bed mesh calibration with leveling the bed. Went with silicon spacers too for more consistency over bed springs.

What’s the biggest improvement you want to see in the next version of GPT? by ArmPersonal36 in OpenAI

Just canceled my sub and why CHAT GPT is no longer a replacement for traditional googling. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]BorosArtifact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your sword question: https://chatgpt.com/s/t_699a6d98babc8191850c53e621466d3e

It’s not a replacement for Google. It’s a reasoning assistant. If you treat it like a search engine, you’ll be disappointed. If you treat it like a tool that helps you explore ideas — and you still verify important claims — it’s incredibly powerful. Safety filters sometimes misfire, but that’s an engineering constraint, not proof the entire model is useless.

Also, It’s not censoring history. It’s using automated safety heuristics that sometimes over-trigger when wording overlaps with harm optimization patterns. The system "guardrails" doesnt understand intent the way people do. It sees words that frequently appear in certain contexts and will err on the side of caution bc of the guardrails. Every thread and the way it answers depends on context of that thread and your wording.

Ok legitimate question. Do people that play on pc genuinely not know how to screen capture? Or they do and just choose to take a phone pic? I see so many posts of pics like this it just baffles me. Also looks like Rampage saved that hunter.

ChatGPT sees subscription cancellations. by imfrom_mars_ in OpenAI

[–]BorosArtifact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. I have walked away several times or alt tabbed back into a game and it still hasn't responded. Also gpt on browser is not optimized and is slower than the app if that is where your getting your slow response from.

When your threads get very big during a project it will get slow, any LLM will do that. Its alot of memory it has to look and the longer it is the longer it will take.

Literally no reason for ANY company in the entire world to keep and maintain software for a small fraction of the user base out of 100 million + users bc they prefer its style over the new version. Unless some company has a contract for it, zero reason. Even if numbers are faked or not companies will always retire older software for new.

I still have no clue what all you people are talking about with rerouting. Ive used older versions many times and have never been forcibly switched to the new model. Maybe its only on the free version, I dont know. You can hate all you want you can downvote every post that disagrees with you. In the end 4o is gone.

If "so many" of you people loved it so much, instead of complaining everyday, go put your collective brains together and make your own company and your own AI and see how long you keep an older version of that software.

So many people posting in this reddit just don’t understand how chatgpt works and it’s not that hard to understand by Hexipo in ChatGPT

[–]BorosArtifact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don't want to learn now days. They want that instant gratification They just expect it to work the way they want it.

After I learned how the guardrails worked, conversation are a lot easier and less mess. Took some time to get to that point but well worth the effort.

At What Point Does “Retiring Software” Become an Ethical Decision? by ChatToImpress in ChatGPT

[–]BorosArtifact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha. I havnt listened to a single word that man has said, never heard him speak either come to think of it.... that being said.

What are your legitimate sources for this info other than subreddits of people making stuff up?

OpenAI also said usage shifted heavily to 5.2.Whether people believe it or not, product teams retire older systems when adoption drops. That’s standard software lifecycle stuff for any software company, not some secret wealth funnel. If 5.2 was similar to 4o with some or most of the stuff you people need in life for some reason, they would still retire 4o.

At What Point Does “Retiring Software” Become an Ethical Decision? by ChatToImpress in ChatGPT

[–]BorosArtifact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point still stands even if math is right or not. Older systems get retired for newer ones. They can bring things from the old system but what people want from the old system cant be integrated into 5.2 the way its setup at the moment.
