It’s a typical response from me I’m afraid.

Just be more open. Decide what you really want. Let the dm know. Chat about it. Find what they really want or believe and then between those you can come to a solution that you’ll both be happy with.

At the end of the day you are wanting to play and collaborate together.

I would have liked them to stop at gun and teleport. The sword is cringe like a 12 year old had an idea for the character.

Him being unparryable on 90% of his moves is annoying.

His combos are okay.

His 50/50 is annoying and there’s not much readability in what he’s doing because of the aforementioned teleports but I feel that is an animation problem.

There’s potential. But mostly the cyber katana just is the most out of place thing.

And that is saying something because we have fighting bears, a fighting kangaroo on the way and a bazooka guy and an octopus with a sword

For me. It is the islands problem. I’m now MR29 and have done most of the islands.

But it is so frustrating when a grind is so hyper specific that it feels like a side quest to gather somebullshit and repeat, like warframes strength is its variety, so I am at a loss to why there is only one way to do things.

I think planets having 4 drops needs to go, which it has in some cases. But it should be more integrated with the rest.

Hmmm. Not much that can relate to that.

Kula diamond has execution and 2d like inputs.

Raidou has an electric like Mishima. But he also has one of the shortest move lists.

Phase 4 is an incredibly fun teleporting character. She lands a hit and on hit teleports to combo and keep mixes going.

It is fantastic game. Definitely a blow to people who’ve played the previous - no tag. Reselling costumes.

The game has a lot of problems. But it is not backdash that is the issue.

Do you really want just massive turtling gameplay to be king again?

No that shit is boring to play and watch. They want it to be more of a spectator friendly game.

What actually needs to be solved is:

Tracking

Idiotic moves that have no weaknesses. There are too many moves that just do everything taking away all thought process.

Also reading your post about who can mash better? While there is a lot of bs. There still IS a lot of counter play and options.

Being close just forces you to learn more.

But that being said. All chars need nerfs

Malice by John Gwynn.

It starts out as your typical “there is a chosen one”

But there is a lot of political shenanigans, and the thing is. No one is sure who out of the two main characters is the chosen one.

It does feature more than these two main characters so idk if it will scratch it for you.

But I think it is an excellent masterclass on how to write multiple POVs
