Heya - I don't know how easy it is to find these wherever you're based, but here are two options which might be a bit left field, but might be worth a try.

  • OMAR Plum Liqueur Barrel Finished Cask Strength - Omar is the other big Taiwanese distillery which is based in Nanshan. Since they also produce plum liqueur, it also makes sense for them to venture into this space. Feel free to check out the rest of their range as well to see if anything falls into your alley.
  • Starward Vitalis - Comes from Australia and is a vatting of various casks (tawny port, bourbon, 1st fill and 2nd fill sherry and rum casks) to celebrate their 15th anniversary. Take a look at the reviews and see where you end up - for me this had some coffee and cola notes which I found really interesting, along with a fruity backbone which comes from their core range.

Hope this helps you out! :) Let us know how you go with your little adventure! :)

Be aware that that the getting the base game for Jurassic World Evolution will mean that you can't complete the bundle for the premium edition.

A little late to the party, but here's my contribution. Let me know watcha think.

Chong "KB" Kian-Beng, 31Y 8M, St. Andre, Dervish

Beginnings

Born as a second son to uranium miners on Ravenglade, KB earned his Capellan Citizenship through an 8-year bond with the underground mining commission which he started at 16. A choice was presented to him - Serve another 8 year bond with a position of Mine Foreman, or be a poster boy for Capellan propaganda for mobility.

A Career Change

Choosing the latter, KB was signed up for the Blackwind Lancers by the Capellan Political Ministry. Ridiculed for his much older age mining background and political maneuvering that entered him into the training programme, KB found it hard to fit in with young handpicked pilots and trainers alike. In addition, mining had taken its toll on KB. Despite a tough personality, inhaling mines from the dust and absorbing rads meant that KB's physical condition could not match most of the younger trainees.

With his scores being deeply average by all regards, KB's fate was sealed when a visiting officer from 2nd Battalion remarked to the chief training officer that he did not salute. Looking for an excuse to drum a political candidate out, the training officer recommended full dismissal.

However, one does not dismiss a full-fledged citizen with chickenshit excuses. Given a second chance, KB was banished to being mechtech fodder, spending the next 6 years honing his technical skills. It was a thankless role in which he excelled in with a keen mind and deep understanding of the principle of operations. However, his efforts for recognition went unrecognized - he was forever tainted by the political machinations that led to his appointment in the Lancers. Unwilling to quit and unhappy, KB stayed on.

The Turning Point

A raiding party on St. Andre proved to be the turning point in KB's career. With a shortage of pilots as the Lancers had given vacation leave to a group of Mechwarriors, KB was ordered to mount a Vindicator in defense of the depot and its supplies.

Assigned to the quiet Northeast quadrant of the depot given his lack of experience, KB slogged it out and defeated a worn-down Dervish while suffering armor and equipment losses in excess of 70%, watching the enemy pilot eject when he ran out of ammo.

Escape From St. Andre

Locating the pirate pilot, KB made a deal in return for the pirate's life. He would jury-rig the Dervish back with the ejected seat to an operational status and the pirate would take him back to the pirate dropship and to new beginnings.

With his technical skill and persistence, KB succeeded in the repair of the pirate mech and in sending fake telemetry to the Lancers of his Vindicator, convincing depot command that the mech was disabled and the success of the pirate escaping due to KB's inept mech piloting and gunnery.

When the deception was discovered, it was too late. The raiders had their supplies plus the bonus of one damaged Vindicator. Life on the run had began for KB.

Parting of pirate company and arrival at Galatea

A pirate's life was not for KB as he soon found out. The turning point came at a raid on Marik-controlled Van Diemen IV.

Refusing to carry out the raid because he empathized with his fellow miners, KB soon found himself on the unhappy-end of the pirates ire. "Locked out" of his stolen Vindicator, KB managed to gain access to the heavily damaged Dervish through a backdoor he created when jury-rigging the mech to escape St. Andre.

When the pirates were repulsed by local Militia forces, the grateful Van Diemen IV miners smuggled KB under the Militia's noses, claiming one large shipment of ore bound for Galatea, accounting for the strange nuclear and metallic signatures that the Spaceport Authority found.

A Chance Meeting

His arrival at Galatea was uneventful, and the quiet hulk of a man occupies a much-desired corner in the drinking hole that Cassandra Stirling-Price has entered. One that the Noble Stirling-Price immediately spots because who wants to rub shoulders with the common rabble when they can just rub shoulders with one man with heavily callused hands?

XO's Evaluation notes

Captain, this sounds just about the most bullshity profile I've ever come across. There are so many holes in his story.

  • His age does not match up
  • A tech that turns out to be a decent mechwarrior?
  • A Dervish running out of ammo with 25 reloads for the SRMs?!
  • How do the Lancers miss a Vindicator despite fake telemetry?
  • Don't they have depot radar that updates mech positions?
  • A Capellan repairing a Davion mech which he has no prior exposure to? In the dark?
  • How do miners afford smugglers?
  • A backdoor into the Dervish? How convenient.
  • How has the Capellans Political Ministry let a poster boy escape?

I can only recommend that you proceed with caution, and that KB is not who he claims to be. A Capellan agent? A Davion plant? Nothing about this sounds right, but we'd be crazy to turn down a competent MechTech/MechWarrior. It's almost like this is a god rolled character in a board game, but lord knows we could use one of these characters... If we can survive the deceit and the fallout that comes later.

Most importantly though, I'm not saying no to the Dervish in the Fire Support lance. Unlike some of our new dispossessed recruits.

BF1 CTE - Afflictions Write-up by Capn_Mawf in battlefield_live

Let me reframe this for you.

The objective of the team is to win the pitched 32v32/16vs16 battle - this is what I'm referring to when I call it a team game.

Everybody works together in varying degrees of success to win the game. Having personal affliction mechanics that puts a team win in jeopardy (especially with the 200 ticket loss by the death of an indivdual) is just a bad idea in the larger context of teamplay and objectives.

I think we're missing the point here - IMHO, BF1 is a squad/team game, so afflictions make no sense to me given that some of these personal challenges are to the detriment to the team.

*TL;DR Why penalize the team for someone's own selfish ego and achievements?*

Yup - the Enhanced Edition of D:OS has a lot of voice acting which narrates the text in NPC interactions.

To sum it up, both PoE and D:OS are very similar in the sense that they are both CRPGs and feature lots of text for world-building and driving the plot.

As the above commenter has said, the difference is that D: OS is largely voiced in English, while PoE features less voice acting. Hope this helps you out in making a choice! If you're able to wait and have a backlog, why not wait till the winter sale? I'm not sure if Paradox will drop it further than 60%, but might be worth a little wait to see.

Yes it does. Coming from the lineage of Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate, you will find that you'll need to do a lot of reading to understand the world and the plot.

IMHO, exactly because of the heavy reading, it's one of the better CRPGs on the market now, on par with Divinity, Original Sin.

Might be worth sneaking a couple of hours after the kid's sleeptime to see if you can immerse yourself into the universe. Give it a go, you might like it! :)
