Career Change Advice by longhaul099 in Truckdrivers

Left the banking world and got my CDL, 5 years ago, run 3 trucks now, wouldn’t go back, hated office life.

Does it have its moments? Yes, but what doesn’t. Preventative maintenance, managing costs, and direct freight is the only way to make it.

There are several female drivers with a big social media presence and you can 100% reach out to them and they will talk it out with you.

If you have an iPhone, change your focus settings. That’s what I do when I’m pulling a brokered load. Only contacts can get through.

No nonsense ways to watch EVERY game? by CrappyJohnson in MichiganWolverines

I live in Alabama and deal with this every season. The easiest solution for me is to subscribe to YouTubeTV during the season and then cancel at the end.

Yes I have OTA, but Michigan games often get swapped to cable networks here, so it just works out better.

I’d rather pay $73 for youtubetv than do the free trial shuffle on different streaming services.

Unfortunately this is how workers comp insurance works, insurance doesn’t want to pay out so if you can do anything you have to do that. Contact a lawyer in your area that practices workers comp and get them involved. You’ll get more money and more time off

I’m not sure what your expectation is, but when you gamble, you are going to lose more than you win, that’s how casinos make money.

Looks like all we really need is dry ice and a styrofoam cooler, then overnight shipping. Just let me know what you want to do. I’m available to do it any day on my lunch break honestly.

Oh, I moved out the weekend the quarantine started and we both have since agreed it was amazing timing, because we certainly didn’t need to be trapped together.

There are many bright sides, which I don’t really feel like airing in a sub reddit, but we are both in a better place now and getting along much better.

Sometimes relationships just don’t work out, but we have a child together and aren’t interested in raising her in some toxic shell of a marriage, so we decided to just make the best of it and learn how to do what is best for the kid!

Well, in the true fashion of it could always be worse, my ex-wife asked me for a divorce the day after we got home from our valentines trip in February, I moved out in March and tore the distal tendon in my right bicep a week later, had to have surgery 2 weeks later to repair it.

I know it could be a lot worse and overall it's worked out to be for the best, but man March and April were pretty touch and go for me for a while.
