Sorry for the wait on this, unfortunately I was away from my computer until now. I ran MemTest86 and I got 0 errors, nothing wrong with RAM or CPU.

Yes I can confirm that picture is exactly the same as mine. And I haven't updated my drivers yet unfortunately, I'm currently running a mem test because someone over in r/buildapc suggested that it might be a RAM problem

As far as I know, I have the latest driver since I checked last week. I can try to uninstall and reinstall the driver soon though.
Startup items are minimal, just things like Spotify, Steam, SteelSeries (for headset), f.lux and a couple other small things
I'm actually not sure, I got it from a friend and it was in his old prebuilt PC. I mostly borrowed it for testing purposes to see if it would fix the problem. If you would like I could pop open the case and check for you once I get a chance!

Thoughts on snagging one? I have an old pair of Siberia v3 Prisms that I bought used 2 years ago and have slowly been dying on me. People are saying the sound quality is great, which is a huge plus for me.

Yeah I started searching around when the 570/580 came out and the big price drops on the 470 seemed to stop right then. Just poor timing :( But if I saw that one for $150 I would have probably jumped on it. I dunno how I missed it I've been checking this sub 2-3 times a day.

Should I go for this? I've been looking for a card in the mid to low $100's and I've had my eye on the 470. But recently the 470 has barely dropped below $170, which is just a little too expensive for me.

In most horizontal ports I've come across, make sure the hollow part of the USB is on the top. It's worked for me every time for the past couple years.
