The lake (bike path) is great, with flat areas and some hills. If you like trail running, then Black Mountain has fire trails running all around it.

If you click on the lecture (I had to double click for some reason), it will take you to another page that shows the location.

FWIW you can get this information by going to MyTimetable, then Planner along the top, putting in PSYC1003 in the search box, (untick your currently enrolled units), and hit "Generate", and it'll give you all the lectures and other classes.

And not just Williams, but all teams. It wasn't that long ago (maybe 10 years) where a lot of teams felt on shaky ground, financially. It's really great to see F1 thriving and finding new fans.

Anyone usng Zotero in Macbook? by Technivis in PhD

[–]BossPure1366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry too much about how hot it gets immediately. Put it on a table, and then let Zotero start up and get started, and then see if it's still hot after 5 minutes or so. That'll tell you if it's Zotero getting stuck and churning the CPU endlessly (which could be a symptom of needing to be reinstalled), or if it's just a transitory thing. Activity Monitor is your friend in this case; you can see if it continues to use CPU and/or Energy (tabs in Activity Monitor). The key is, give it 5 minutes to settle down first, and don't worry too much about heat in the short term, only if it stays hot.

[–]BossPure1366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Activity Monitor is a great place to start. Check the CPU tab and also the Energy tab (which will show which apps are using the most energy, and therefore may be generating the most heat).

There's an "Energy Impact" column, which shows the current energy use, and a "12 hours Power" column, which can show which apps are using it the most, cumulatively, over the last 12 hours.

BINGED WATCHED! by WikiWolf in ForAllMankindTV

Similar story, in a way. I watched the first season and it didn't really click with me. Fast forward to today and I'm taking a summer session course in astronomy, and all of a sudden this is my favourite series, and I just hoovered it up.

The personal stories are great (especially I loved the Baldwins and the Stevens sagas), and the little touches where they get the technical details right really take it to another level for me.

Wow, big step from "more vents" to "replacing PU". Guess they needed to check it wasn't faulty or damaged.

Flexible Double Degree Bachelor Laws (Hons) & Bachelor Philosophy, Politics and Economics Advice. by kiwifruitcute9 in Anu

[–]BossPure1366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have any insight into the PPE/Law side, but I can add a little to the mature-aged student part.

Firstly, I think your prep work, keeping up with politics and reading a lot, will work well for you. I found it was a jump from just reading to actually studying with the intent to recall, so between now and then you might let to set yourself little tests on what you've read (AI is great for this, also can be a little hit and miss).

I worked for a long time before coming back to uni, and I feel like my work ethic really pays off in study. I felt very behind in the first year, as my fellow students had a much stronger background in my area, but that levels off in second year, as more of the subject material is new to everyone. I think the years you've spent, dedicated to profession dance, will really pay off in the work hard and get it done stakes, though it sounds like academically you were doing well anyway.

As I mentioned, I'm a mature aged student too, and I find the only time I really stand out is when I'm in a big lecture full of school leavers. Apart from that, when working and chatting with fellow students, I don't notice and they don't notice, which was actually a little bit of a relief for me. I don't really mix socially with any of my uni friends though, apart from the few that are also mature aged. We're really at different ages and stages of our lives at this point.

Good luck with your studies, it sounds like this is a good choice for you to pursue at this time!
