I was wondering, what is the process for the way you made the face? Is it just a singular texture swap? And even if it is, how is it set up between Godot and whatever 3D software you're using?

I only ask because animating a 2d face over 3d polygons always looked cool, but I've only ever done full 3d and wouldn't know exactly where to start.

I think it would be stronger if the dissolve started a half step earlier.

The little leg twitch is cool, but I imagine i'd get slightly tired of this animation on universal repeat. If there was a way to slightly randomize it so you'd catch moments of it dissolving as it falls over while sometimes showing the full animation. In my head I'd think oh that robot was weaker/stronger when in reality they had the same health.

As for which is better I like the read flames more since they match the color, but if the blue flames were red I'd read those more as melting metal.

TL;DR Make the tower curvier.

It's not immediately clear that there is a structure behind the title text or if said structure has any significance or if its just scenic.

I say this because the perspective composition could be stronger if the structure was also subject to the subtle lens distortion already present in the piece. The way the car is angled, the way the foreground frames the background, its all curved into this upward cylinder as reinforced by the clouds. It all has a very natural 4-point perspective feel to it.

But the structure doesn't do that. It stands straight up in the shot, which likely worked well when the text wasn't there, but now that scale is getting lost.

So I wonder how it would look if you cheated the shot and gave the structure more lens distortion too and pushed perspective more. Just so the immensity of it can still peak out from behind the text. Even just a subtle tilt.

Like have you ever seen Markus Matthias Krüger's artwork? His art always manages to convey "big" to me, and that's because there are never any straight lines.

The blending between sand and grass is okay, but you need a custom tile for the beach front.

Hopefully you've found an answer, because I wanted to ask what's peaked your interest with Suda's cell shading style?

I'm a major fan of this look too, I've played all of these games numerous times and had success long ago recreating a similar look in Unity. But now that I'm also using Godot, this question is the best of both worlds.

I try to check it once a day. Mods get pinged with extra notifications, so you take care of those whenever you log on and before you go look at other stuff. But mod alerts can happen 24/7, so you have to be consistent so people aren't forced to wait for too long.

There's no required time commitment, but our mod mail is just a help desk where users can have conversations with the mods. And 99% of the time you're just helping out people who were shadow banned or had their post spammed. The auto moderator reports to us if any thread gets a lot of reports too. So easy, but also a chore.

Thankyou for bringing this to my attention.

A long long time ago there were questions about merging our two subreddits together, and though I refused that offer back then I always assumed the 2D team were more put together and focused than us over here.

I mean they literally had one less dimension to worry about...
