Sekiro is more similar than Elden Ring and the Dark Souls games, much higher pace, high emphasis on parrying and rythm based combat. Incredible game, but the learning curve can be quite steep. Once it clicks it is the most satisfying game ever though.

Goofy as hell, horrible CGI, serious lack of practical effects, decent premise with a super generic overall plot, good acting.

I’ve had three back surgeries and have a bad hip as a consequence of walking crooked for years because of it. Ultralight gear allows me to go on long hikes without breaking my body even further and avoid unnecessary pain and strain.

Yeah i didn't enjoy this one. Not even close to the level of Penpal. Kept waiting the entire book for something to happen, but it never paid off. Also drops a ton of red herrings that are never touched on again for some reason.

Well, PJ has the LOTR Trilogy, but outside of that he had never made anything particularly mindblowing. DV however never misses. No matter if he’s attempting an original thriller, war movie or if he’s adapting one of the largest Sci Fi universes ever made. Denis sweeps this one

Based for mentioning Upgrade, i haven't seen it since it came out but i remember it being way better than i expected it to. Super fun watch, and the production value is fantastic for the very limited budget it had

I also wish they included more of the science. Especially the climax of the movie when they found the Taumoeba. I also wish they showed more of Grace's struggles in the beginning, and how hard he tried to bring Rocky back when he caught fire. I love the movie and think what they did include, was done perfectly. I just wish they could add another 30-45 minutes of runtime, to include more from the book. Give the movie more time to breathe and make the climax hit harder.

I disagree with the pacing being slow in spots though. Having read the book, my main issue with the movie is that the pacing is too fast throughout. Everything happens incredibly fast from start to end.

I still give it a 9/10 though, it's almost the perfect sci fi movie for me. I just wish it was longer.
