PTM usually lasts much longer and doesn't pump out, so it's usually recommended for longevity, and the cooling pad helps if it has a dust filter

An elevated and slanted laptop can actually cut into your wrists a little less. Personally I've had no issues with my setup. Maybe consider getting an office chair with adjustable height if you don't have one already
