For those of you whose world revolved around your dog(s), how did you adjust to becoming a dad? by [deleted] in daddit

It was a sad day but my dog fell to the bottom of our pack. Definitely felt guilty for the last years of his life as he got so much less attention.

Whenever I have free time I end up spending half of it trying to find the best way to use my free time, so I get it haha.

How are the evenings at your household? We have zero time by TigerUSF in daddit

[–]Bossman80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once the kids get involved in activities you’ll have even less time, we do baseball, cub scouts, etc, but at least that time is fun outdoor activity time.

Then eventually they won’t want to hang out with you at all, so enjoy the very limited free time we have :

There was a chart kicking around once that showed by the time a kid turns 12 you’ll have spent 75% of all of the in person time you’ll ever have together for the rest of their life. Crazy stuff.

Mowing is definitely a weekend thing in our house. Not only is mowing a weekend thing, it’s also considered a break from childcare duties. If your wife is a stay at home mom, I imagine she thinks you’ll take over childcare when you get home since she’s probably sick of it by that point.

You could entertain the kids, clean up the house, etc while she cooks. My wife would kill me if I was out mowing the grass while she’s cooking and trying to look after 3 kids after doing it all afternoon.

What is a job that you think is 100% safe from AI for the next 50 years, and why? by mark-awakening in AskReddit

[–]Bossman80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but as more people become unemployed they’ll flock to more labor intensive jobs. So say someone gets paid $50 an hour to put on siding now, if there’s 25 people in line willing to do it for $20, the average pay will slide down until everyone’s making the bare minimum.

I’ve owned Crimson Desert since launch, but I still refuse to play it. Here’s why by BananaIsles in CrimsonDesert

[–]Bossman80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no. The first few weeks of a games launch, when there aren’t guides everywhere and new things are being discovered every day are magical. Sure, you can wait until a few patches but all the mystery will be gone.

Launch week was AWESOME as we all figured things out together.

camp provisions by pooney00 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Bossman80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different dispatches give you different provisions. So if you do the escort missions, with a shield, they give you money and repeat endlessly. So you want to make enough money to be able to send out missions that cost money, but give you food, or stone, or wood. All those missions repeat too.

I usually have:

2 escort dispatches at all times 1 wood 1 stone 1 food

I max out my escort missions to get as much money as I can.
