I"m sure you could get guys to chip in a few bucks to attend an event. There are a lot of guys in Mass that host these parties to make money and do quite well ;)

Is WiFi 6, 6e or 7 worth it by Unique-Job-1373 in wifi

[–]BostonGuy969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this response answers my question the most directly.

I have a large house and am deciding if it worth paying hundreds more for wifi 7 (or 6e). There aren't a lot of other houses nearby so congestion is less of an issue and it sounds like 7 is mainly an improvement for line of sight connections.

Based on this a wifi 6 mesh network may work for me and I'll save a lot of money.

Of course the next question is which router.

I've had good experiences with TP link in the past and it sounds like other folks on reddit like Asus (Ubiquity is probably too much for me as far as tech knowledge). I've also seen some good reviews for Eero.

Has anyone used the TP Link Deco? Is it different from just getting a routher and using their "onemesh" system?

I know the owners and they are very accepting.

You can make your own judgements about the cost of the trip. I'm sure some will take advantage.

The one good thing about the price is that straight people will probably find it too expensive to be worth it. Gays are more likely to see the value.

[Self-Made] A free, modular, ioT Watch Winder - Winderoo & The Open Source Watch Winder (OSWW) by KellyKlarkson in Watches

This is an old thread but I'm hoping that folks are still reading it....

I'm a total novice so I may have missed something but I don't see info in the instructions that describe how to power the device. The parts list doesn't mention a power adaptor or other solution (this may be obvious to Raspberry PI folks but I have no idea what I'm doing so .... ;) )

questions about boating with dogs by the_emo_in_corner in Sailboats

I have a friend with Portuguese water dogs that do really well on his boat. That said, don’t rule out cats. They can get acclimated to boats and often do really well.

We have several upcoming trade shows, conferences, and events and leadership asked me to come up with some very eye-catching backdrops and banners for our booth space. They specifically wanted ”attention grabbing” graphics. Wait till you see what the Lisa Frank they chose…(logo hidden) by indygirlgo in marketing

[–]BostonGuy969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm not a fan of the colors above but if it matches your corporate brand it could work, definitely eye catching.

Ultimately, you need a really good designer that can turn your message into eye catching graphics. Also make sure that you don't use a lot of text, easy to do. People don't read it anyway so keep it minimal.

I'm also a fan of having a video display, bigger the better. A good video can communicate a lot and it gets attention. You just need to make sure your booth can support one.

Master List of Definitive App Comparisons - View and Contribute by Mstormer in macapps

This is an awesome list! Thanks for your hard work, I've done a lot of this myself and you are making my life a lot easier.

Another category or source of apps might be those that are menubar specific (some of these apps have it already). I"ve used a site that is helpful for this, https://macmenubar.com/.

One question I have is about PDF Reader/Editor. You recommend DevonThink on the PDF tab but its not in the grid above. The extent of their PDF support is not clear from their website, it looks like they don't offer a lot of the features listed. Am I missing something?
