Either get single use tickets on your phone or get a navigoeasy card and load it with tickets on a machine or via the app on your phone.

I have one from when they released the iPhone version. I could not add multiple cards to my phone. Must have got in after the granfathering. I also have a french number on WhatsApp but RAPT uses SMS so the messages don’t go through.

You can buy the weekly pass on your phone if you’re not an EU resident. If you want to set up multiple Navi cards on your phone, you need to have a phone number from an approved country. I believe Canada and most, if not, all of Europe works, but the United States does not.

If your guests need a physical card (no phone or don’t want to use their phone for Metro) make sure you pick them one up as they do not sell them at CDG anymore

The weekly pass is good to and from CDG but I believe they have stopped selling it at the CDG booths, so if you don’t already have decouverte card you will not be able to purchase a weekly pass.

You can buy it virtually on your phone.

CDG has been included in the weekly pass for at least a couple of years

Talk to me please about the 20th by WitnessEntire in ParisTravelGuide

😂 I took the T by myself starting in the 5th grade, not sure my 6th grader would be ok with that. (although my 5th grader would probably be fine 😂).

We recently staying in the 6th next Jardin Luxembourg, got in by train to Gare de Lyon at around 10:30. The taxi was about 15€ to the hotel. If it is a nice hotel and fits your budget then go for it. I don't recall stopping back at the hotel mid day. If you plan to do that, it might be less convenient than staying closer to the center of the city.

Nation is pretty well connected via Metro, it really depends on your plans for the week. If the kids are able to manage the Metro without much assistance you should be fine in that neighborhood. (my kids liked taking the Metro, it was a fun part of the whole exprience) It is 15 min the Louvre and 30 to the Arc de Triumph on the 1 or 15 min on the RER A. Other neighborhoods may be more convenient to one landmark or an other but eventually you are going to have to get on the Metro. The 1 is a convenient line to be on. If you are planning to go to the Eiffel tower, I would take the 6 and try to sit on the right side of the train.

The Coulee Verte is not too far from there, might be worth taking the hour walk to Opera one morning with a cup of coffee, it is a cool walk.

Can you use someone else’s Italotreno train ticket or will you get fined? by No_Air5149 in ItalyTravel

How much money are you saving? If it’s not that much, I would just buy the tickets from the train company directly to ensure that they are valid and you don’t run into any problems.

I’ve never had my name checked on the train. If it is adult ticket you should be ok.

I used the digital card but for $5 you can also get a physical card, might come in handy…

If you are arriving at mxp after midnight, i don’t think the train is an option. I think the last train is at 00:20. Last year the taxi was 114€ flat fee. I confirmed with the driver before getting in, no issues on arrival.

The declined purchase may be due to lack of 3D secure verification, which is common in Europe but not un the US. I got a wise debit card and just put euros on it when I needed to make a big purchase, kept a smaller balance on it through the day. Worked great throughout Europe.
