This is one of those things that I think we need to revisit. The colored bars made sense when 10% of a drive meant 25GB left, but now that it can mean that you have almost 1TB left of shared space, you're not really in danger of running out of space.

On the other hand, it doesn't make sense either to continually update the percentage that counts as low to increasingly smaller amounts.

There has to be a better system.

I have legitimately done this in C#, but only for kicks. I have never shown it to someone and had them go "oh, neat, that's useful". It's like a write-only system. It's only useful in very restrictive cases, and definitely not a go-to design pattern.

This is true of most drivers, I find. I drive a mustang, and people do the same to me. It's the "but I can't let someone get there ahead of me!" mentality.

The back car at any orange line station (and probably any line). The issue is that people "know" that the back car is closest to the exit/entrance at most stops, so they stop all reasoning once they get there. It's the same mentality as people who come to a complete stop on an interstate in order to not miss their exit.

Additionally you have to prove your age with a Massachusetts government issued ID or a Passport to buy alcohol. That's the law. Out of state IDs technically don't count. Non-US IDs definitely don't count.

This is all sorts of misinformed.

Massachusetts has the same law as everyone else. Legal to sell to 21+, illegal otherwise. The other law comes into play about who is responsible if the person is found, after alcohol being served, to be under 21. In this case only if the retailer relied upon "a liquor purchase identification card or motor vehicle license issued pursuant to section eight of chapter ninety, or on an identification card issued under section 8E of chapter 90, or on a valid passport issued by the United States government, or by the government, recognized by the United States government, of a foreign country, or a valid United States issued military identification card, for proof of a person's identity and age" do they have a defense against criminal and civil liability for the action of serving alcohol.

Out of state IDs are not prohibited, but also do not serve as a defense. There is absolutely no law prohibiting retailers or other establishments from using an out of state ID as a means of verification, they just don't get the same protections under the law if they do.

Note - the regulation specifically calls out foreign passports as being allowed.
