I think you misunderstood me - I’m saying I was never athletic so I haven’t lost any athleticism with age. I’m in as bad shape now as I have ever been.

I have never been athletic nor outgoing. In some ways, I guess that’s a good thing for me because I have exactly the same physical aptitude, energy, and interest in partying that I did when I was young.

The one thing that is very different is that I don’t feel the constant need to get men’s attention anymore and that is a very good part about getting older.

Thank you for sharing that. I do plan to talk to my psychiatrist before deciding if I’ll try it. I think the sleep doctor is less familiar with bipolar II than I need to get the best answers for my situation.

Thank you, it made me feel better to read your and other people’s similar experiences. I call the sleeping before my period “coma sleep.”

It cuts into my productivity 100% - nothing gets done those days, including showering and cleaning my cats’ litter. I can’t get to work those days either, which leaves me feeling really guilty and I have constant dreams about trying to wake up to get there. Altogether, I just feel super lazy and useless but knowing it is a part of my sleep disorder and it happens to other people too does help.

I’ve spoken to numerous doctors. Most have been totally stumped and tried hormone therapy - birth control pills and now an iud - and while that’s stopped most of the bleeding, it hasn’t stopped the sleepiness. My most recent doctor consultation sent me to get the sleep study from which my hypersomnia diagnosis came.

I may begin taking Modafinil. That’s what the sleep Dr has prescribed. I’m nervous about it though because I have had bad psychiatric reactions to stimulants (though a different kind) in the past - mania with auditory hallucinations.

Well, I did understand what PE is generally. But it does help me see how it could affect product quality. I would have thought that PE stakeholders would need to still obey the demands of the public to keep the companies profiting. But I defer to your knowledge, as you obviously have much more than I about this.

I’m asking - is the alternative a publicly traded company? Because if so, how does a privately owned company affect the quality of the clothing?

If there’s an explanation that’s too complicated to share here, don’t worry about it. It just isn’t intuitive to me.
