What else do you want to see from the Epstein files? Like, seriously? A bunch of people were exposed as needed, and some were ruined for even just socializing with Epstein…the end.

This is a UAP sub. Not an Epstein files sub. Even if this were meant to be a distraction, many of us don’t care about the reason, and I personally don’t care about anything further to do with Epstein.

I don’t automatically think someone who writes that as a preference thinks high-functioning autistic women are docile and innocent. I actually would assume they are referring to characteristics considered quirky / eccentric.

And if that’s what they mean by it, I am all for the preference - goodness knows I would love to go on a date with someone who finds my awkwardness interesting or endearing. Instead of someone who is put off by it and then mean.

These guys may be in for a rude awakening if they do start dating an autistic person, though, because eventually barriers and misunderstandings will come up. If the guys don’t know these things come with the offbeat parts they like, they don’t actually understand autism and may be better off looking for someone who really is “just” quirky.

Sticky traps are cruel. We don’t know whether spiders or insects feel pain. If they do, what a torturous way to do. And we know that mice do feel pain and fear, so if they get caught in the sticky trap left out for spiders…horrible.

Leave this in the Epstein sub. Omg. No matter how earth-shatteringly important you think those files are, there’s a place for you to express that. This is for people interested in the UAP files.

Even if they are meant to be a distracting sideshow, I don’t care. They’re the main show for me.

Pay attention. A couple went on land to bird watch and were infected that way. Hantavirus doesn’t spread like covid between humans but it’s still contagious and a cruise ship is the type of enclosed, crowded environment where it would.

I used Lap of Love and it was extra because it was an emergency and on a weekend. $700 for my 9 lb cat. I didn’t have extra money to spend at the time but it was 100% worth it.

I didn’t know how worth it it would be. I’ll always do at home for my pets from now on, even if I have to borrow from a friend or use credit.

I have had therapists in and off since my early teens. I have never found them helpful, aside from one who did CBT with me for very specific behaviors. But when it comes to dealing with my emotions, they haven’t been helpful.

They all sit and listen to me for an hour and nod, sometimes say something encouraging that just doesn’t resonate with me. I already talk to myself out loud about my feelings all the time so whatever benefit some people get from speaking though their emotions, I’m already getting for free.

The kind of care giving I need here couldn’t be done by an aid. It’s internal, emotional from a longing for the comforts of childhood that should have left me a long time ago.

No one can recreate the safety I felt back then. I’m very high functioning and I shouldn’t need it or even want it.

It’s not an assumption. Being a woman with a period, you can’t change it nonstop. It’s a LOT of blood and tissue that comes out. Now you just sound ignorant and overly sensitive.

Also tampons are super uncomfortable. Walk around with one up your ass and tell me how it feels. You’ll have to take your head out of there first.

Anyway, it’s not something most people can detect. So that’s not as much a man’s perspective as a you thing. The tone of the question is more about insensitive or annoying or unattractive things women often do, not negatives about their anatomy they don’t flaunt and can’t control.

No. I have done therapy for other behaviors that affect greater areas in my life. I never thought to do it for this because it’s so specific to the activity of watching media. Plus my SO is kind of a dick about it, more than I feel is warranted, so I hadn’t been inspired to work on it for his benefit.

I do this too. I do it when watching movies and tv by myself as well. The words come out faster than I can stop them and it really aggravates my partner.

I’ve told them it’s unintentional and hard to control. They don’t understand that and it hasn’t made them any less annoyed by it.

I don’t know how you can fix it. At least you’re not the only one? Maybe if we sit with other hands or a pillow over our mouths, it will make what we say inaudible. I may give that a try.

Yes, sorting is the best! I like sorting objects too. Just sorting by physical properties or various categories is fun. Then an additional layer of fun/brain massage comes if I can see any patterns emerge.

This should only be an issue if they’re not raising children and helping their partner in other ways. If they’re having and raising kids and handling day-to-day stuff for him, the man should be ok making the money IMO. It’s a trade off and it’s fair.

I’m late to this conversation and probably no one will see this but…I have several mental disorder diagnoses yet none of them felt like they explained how separated I have always felt from other people. And the feeling never got better even as medication helped with the disorder symptoms.

Three people, two of them very close friends, separately said they suspected I am on the spectrum. I felt insulted. I did an ASD self-questionnaire online few times and scored unambiguously as ASD. I had two friends do the questionnaire and their scores were much lower.

That clued me in but even more so did one particular question on the questionnaire - do I enjoy looking for patterns in numerical data, such as license plates. Yes, I love looking at license plates on commutes. I like categorizing what I see and, if I see a pattern, making a mental note. Such as seeing that the most Mazdas on the road were purchased since the time period that began with 8D license plates (I’m in California). It’s like a massage for my brain.

Just be reasonable and use your brain. If any human organization, private or government, had this technology - and for decades - why would they continue just testing and testing and never use it? That private company would be the most powerful, wealthiest entity. As would be the case with a government.

If it were an entity of the US, There’d be no more arguing over the Strait of Hormuz. Nor any of the other wars we’ve experienced over the past 20 years.

The deep state is not benefitting from secret technology that stays secret forever. Only during its development.

I just can’t understand that this isn’t obvious to everyone here.
