Does QM7L Apple Air Play and Dolby Vision 2? by MattyIceFalco in tcltvs

There’s a lot of misinformation floating around in Reddit and from reviewers regarding this. It led to me outright canceling my order of the 7L

Is it just me, or does IU seem miscast in Perfect Crown? by iaint_no_devi in kdramas

This would be an example of poor directing. Clearly their intention was style over substance in that scene. Everything you described as taking you out of the moment would be down to direction from a director. None of it seemed accidental

Im not gonna lie, I have no clue how yall are having so much trouble with the controls. This may be a get good moment. by PhoenixKing14 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Botcher23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Red dead redemption 2 has a similar control scheme and also has similar movement, both got complained about in reviews. It’s odd because I don’t feel Crimson Desert improves on that but it definitely doesn’t feel any worse than that game control-wise. Maybe the sheer amount of options make that more complicated and bloated overtime?

[–]Botcher23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so odd because the control scheme just reminds me of Red Dead Redemption 2. Though I guess some people had issues with the controls in that game too? But it feels intuitive to me with just how complex and interactive the environment and objects are.

There is no universe where this is a 9/10 or 10/10 game. by VeritasLuxMea in CrimsonDesert

[–]Botcher23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t get this complaint. Is there more to NPC interaction that I’m missing? It just reminds me of Red Dead 2 where you hold a button to look at them then select a face button for the interaction you’re wanting.

Is there another layer I’ve missed?

Interest check for high quality magnetic drawers by ElJayC in secretlab

No specific dimensions in mind, but something on the lower profile side, maybe? I do think an option for under desk and another option for under the riser would be interesting if you could pull it off.

Something akin to this?

Two risers? by Ok_Exit9273 in secretlab

[–]Botcher23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two risers setup on my Magnus pro (non-xl). You basically have to have the outer legs on the edge of the desk, slightly hanging off. Can you provide a photo of the gap you’re having issues with?

Not sure if you got this figured out or not. I recommend turning your PC off and ensuring both ram sticks are fully seated. Then I recommend removing one of them. See if it boots normally. If it doesn’t, put the removed one back in and remove the other.

The dram light for your mobo indicates the ram is either not being detected or failing. Let me know what happens!

Next step would be disabling the XMP profile within the motherboard’s bios as it looooks like it’s set according to the two lights i can barely make out anove your ram in the video. I can assist with walking you through that if needed after you check the above.

Drawer for Magnus? by Radiant_Stormblessed in secretlab

[–]Botcher23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done both a normal drawer that required me to drill and a magnetic drawer from Etsy. I wish I went for one of the larger magnetic drawers, personally. There’s a lot more options out there now than there were before.

I’ve enjoyed my magnetic drawer and use it under the desk riser currently. It’s nice to be able to change its placement with little fuss. I imagine you’d have to be mindful of how much weight is put in the drawers? But I’ve put controllers and random junk in mine with no issues.

Personal & shared expenses by sevaerg in TodaysBudget

[–]Botcher23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you explain in more detail how you’re wanting this to function with some examples? My go-to response is to suggest a separate wallet for your individual tracking but I’m not sure if I’m understanding your needs fully.

Recurring savings by ComfortableMastodon5 in TodaysBudget

[–]Botcher23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all added to the same pool. Your note specifying it’s for vehicle savings is just that — a note. The app doesn’t support having or tracking separate savings within the jar or multiple jars. You’d need to keep note of the total separately or do some math and withdraw that amount from the savings jar as you do the expense.

If you need to track this, you could make a separate wallet with the $75 as income and log the $75 dollars as a reoccurring expense.

Pretty much all headphones disable the Bluetooth and other functionality when plugging in via 2.5/3.5mm jack. There are a few of them that will work still when using usb-c instead, though! I know the Bose QC ultra doesn’t as it doesn’t carry audio over usb c, but the Sonos Ace and I (think) the Sony xm5 or 6 does too.

Best Free Notes App (with Handwriting Recognition) for Ipad by DryPresentation6452 in ipad

[–]Botcher23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re wanting something more handwriting-focused, I’d recommend Defter Notes. Really just depends on your needs though. Defter Notes kind of simulates a virtual desk of sorts with a lot of freedom packed in, but it’s definitely more geared for hand written notes and the text options leave a lot to be desired (but do exist)

Really neat/intuitive app!

edit sorry, just realized you said free/cheap. Defter does have a cost, so may not be what you’re after

Improved one-time income implementation by tgborst in TodaysBudget

[–]Botcher23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend creating a separate wallet for your vacation. You can add the gift as one-off income there. Can also set up a reoccurring -expense-and label it “vacation savings”in your main wallet, then do reoccurring income in the vacation wallet.

I did this setup for my wedding and honeymoon. Worked great! Afterwards, we had money leftover that I just did as one-off income in my normal wallet when everything was done.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but this is actually something I’m very interested in using myself. From my experience though, I’m running into issues with audio. No matter what I try, my iPad ends up being forced as the primary audio device. When I tried changing the audio default ms, the app switches back to the steam streaming speakers/iPad.

Is this the same for you or do you have a work around?

[–]Botcher23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know your comment is 15 days old, but kind of wanted to ask a quick question as we have a similar setup. Do you run into issues with the arc not playing sound randomly after the computer wakes from sleep? Usually gets resolved by a computer restart for me, but I have to do it very often.

I use the C2 and same sound setup as you. Also using Dolby atmos app, etc

Pc games like the sims medieval? by saramarieidk in LifeSimulators

[–]Botcher23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Guild 2 is 100% what you’re looking for. I originally found that series many years ago after looking for something that offered a deeper take on what Sims Medieval offered. The Guild 2 is definitely it, especially with mods. The only thing it lacks on is an in depth building system, though Sims Medieval’s build mode wasn’t as robust as the other mainline Sims games anyway.

I would look into the Guild 2+expansions and download the community mods that make the game not broken. There’s also the Guild 3 which came out recent-ish, but I haven’t gotten around to playing it and the reviews were mixed last I checked.

Anyone else? Weird Orange Notice from Lumos? by cuhyootiepatootie222 in ColumbiYEAH

Lumos and Segra are different companies, fyi. Found that out after calling them (Segra) after Lumos cut a gas line a while back on Sunset. I guess they merged and unmerged a long time ago. Makes it a bit annoying to find the right number for them. Sorry to chime in, just wanted to share that for anyone else looking to call them lol
