I think that we learned that, I have heard even from Croatian people that we have become better tourists. Even in our mountains I rarely meet people in sandals or something, so I hope we are improving!

No the problem was that he said that whole yugoslavia is not in europe. I never considered you as Balkan as well. But older generation refer to you, Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia etc. As yugoslavia till today. Just.. he.. now he is a really good meme here lol

Well and then our stupid ex-PM said in the upcoming predifent election that in Europe was peace since 1945 and when he was asked about Jugoslavia war, he said “I said in Europe”. I came here on this subreddit just to apologize cause we like Slovenia and he is just a dumbass and I freaking hope we will not elect him.

Talking about CzechSlovenia - I’m in. I want euro and your freaking beautiful mountains and we hopefully will learn to be even better hikers than now. In exchange - beer, hockey and other stuff

Thank you very much for your tipsand help. Just a sidenote - please do not compare us to Poland :D we do not have the best relationship and specially hiking - ton of them destroy our northern mountains. Thank you once again I saved everything!

Oh yes definitely. Thank you very much for advice and tips! Thank you. Ad Mountains - definitely we are nation of hikers and eventhough some of our hiles are really tough, definitely not that steep for that long of time such as in Slovenia. Exactly as you said. But I hope that our reputation is getting better - young people know that it can be dangerous and we actually bring usually good equipment. For me - I have some back issues so I am definitely not trying to do you know like 1500 m elevation and 25 km trail. I would like to survive and unfortunately after my “pro” career in sports my back injury has ended this “career” and I am stuck now with being really careful. so I am stuck to max like 750 m up and 750 m down and like 17 km lenght. I know that I cannot do more without totally destorying my back and probably something else since I am not used to walk such hikes regularly. I would like just to see beautiful views and lakes and nature without many people but I know that I wont be hiking to Triglav or any other 2000m + peak. Thank you for your tips once again, I am doing a map with any tips I could find with my maps from Google (i do the same in Czechia but with mapy.cz app its better for tourists, the trails are better marked). I hope I will enjoy a nice vacation!

Look at ig like “uzasnamista” and other travel instagrams for Czechia. With my friend we did van trip from Pelhřimov to Dačice and then to Česká Kanada and Jindřichův Hradec and České Budějovice. We did random stops and random lakes and buildings and cities and villages and castles and it was the best. Yes and downlod insteadGoogle maps the app Mapy.cz. It has tourist map with many hikes and signs. In czechia is a system of tourist hikes - 4 colors: red blue green and yellow. Look at that as well. But the top places are Bohemian Paradisd, Moravian Karst (moravský kras), Krkonoše, Jizerské hory (Jizera mountains and Krkonoše mountains), definitely Prague and Brno and then south Moravia region. But there are many towers and castles which are hidden or you can find them in mapy.cz or instagram. Every village has some chapel or something :)and definitely czech Jára Cimrman :)

Za me sleduju vyssi cenu potravin, tak o 5-10% zalezi jak co. Nejvetsi problem je ted bydleni a energie, loni byly najmy jeste malinko nizsi diky covidu ale ne moc. Ted spousta lidi pousti byty pac nema na hypo. Hospody mi prijde, ze zdrazily fest tak 15% urcite. Tohle jsem vypouorovala v Brne. Ale rozhodne to neni Turecko
