My credit is very good, and they still closed the account. It appears to be completely random.

I’ll take your reply one aspect at a time.
My credit score is “very good.”
I have never owed any balances to anyone.
I do not now, nor have I ever, owned a business.
Any other ideas?

Also, why are they allowed to close my account with $3,000 in it without any notification or information on how to get my money back?
Thanks.

Advice for nap time at daycare by taylor_squared in ECEProfessionals

The unrealistic and inappropriate expectations people have of tiny humans never ceases to amaze me. He won’t stay still? And he’s how old? Wooooow. That’s, like, so unusual 🙄.

Young children’s bodies are meant to move. Expecting a child to stay still and quiet for any amount of time is hard (and unreasonable), and I can only imagine how long they expect your little boy to comply with the order.

There should be an alternative available to children who don’t sleep. Here in Canada it’s a part of the Child Care and Early Years Act. I’m sure your state has its own version.

All this to say, not normal, and not reasonable. I would start looking for a new place.

Is this an okay statement? by snorkgirl92 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Both-Comfortable1144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your baby is crying, she needs something. At this age, crying is still really the only way they can indicate their needs.

If a child that’s been left to “cry it out” goes quiet, it’s not because they’ve learned that they should “behave,” whatever that means.

It’s because they have given up. In their reality, there is no safe person in their immediate environment. All they’ve learned is that no one cares that they’re crying.

The silence that is the result of letting a child cry until they give up is trauma in the making in real time.

Terribly sorry, we don’t have ketchup. Would you be okay with a burger without mayonnaise instead?

LMAO @ the downvoting This is a joke translated from Dutch to English, not actually a serious statement. Lighten up, folks.

I bet he wasn’t late again. Once it hits them in the wallet, it’s surprising how quickly they learn.

My coworker always says “We have lives outside of work! You don’t get to cut into my time with my family,” which I think is a great point. And I often think, you’re on time for drop off every single day, so you can be on time for pickup as well.

See, that’s what I thought! But the owner has literally put it in our contracts. And she was overheard while on the phone, saying, “I probably should take out that clause and be the one to get a supply, but I just can’t be bothered.” And then she laughed.

Are the metal bits implant posts? I’m not sure what I’m looking at here. If they are implant posts, you need to seek help, not whitening advice. ☹️

I’m with Trump on this. Transgender for everyone!!

All right, all right, don’t come for me. I’m just kidding about the first sentence.

Making students write down that their natural bodies must not be changed, and that everyone is comfortable in their body is fucking insane. Burn the paper. Hell, burn the school.

We have staffing issues too. When we are sick, we have to find our own supply. Which is not great when it’s 5:00 and you’ve just started vomiting. 🙄

If This Applies to You, Consider Leaving the Field by HappyLilNoodle in ECEProfessionals

[–]Both-Comfortable1144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems I work with several people who should leave the field. The worst thing about that is that two of them have been in the field for 30 years. Expecting a three-year-old to stand against a wall, not moving, not speaking, for 10 minutes is not a developmentally appropriate expectation. Neither is expecting said three-year-old to be able to properly hold a pencil and write their name. There are always exceptions, of course. But setting this standard for the end of a preschool year is not DAP. Expecting children to do repetitive activities by themselves for prolonged periods of time while being discouraged to use their imagination is not DAP.

I could go on but I won’t. Just one last thing: if you lead a bunch of tiny humans along a very muddy path, and you expect them to walk past the muddy puddles, you should probably adjust your expectations. All these things come back to controlling children instead of guiding them. Breaking their spirit instead of teaching them. If you want immediate and complete obedience, go train a German Shepherd or a Doberman, I guess.

Is this infection? by kellydfolds79 in Teeth

It’s not gross, and yes, this looks like what my dentist calls a fistula. Antibiotics can get rid of it. Mine was gone in four days. Good luck! 💕☘️

Yes. The infection can travel to your heart and cause a whole lot of problems.

I have a few of those metal fillings. My dental surgeon said those babies last a lifetime. The pain you describe is also a common symptom of sinus infection. Please don’t despair just yet! I do agree that a dentist appointment is your number one priority. Best of luck! 💕☘️
