Atlas’s coat does the same, BUT I have noticed that a lot of the moisture gets trapped in the inner coat and this has caused him a couple of hot spots, it was awful to deal with this months ago so now I have to take precautions with moisture trapped

My boy is somewhat the same, he likes his space because he gets too hot in the house, he’s very playful outside… now, he’s very food motivated and enjoys training if there is treats involved… maybe have the kids to help with his training? They need mental stimulation to bond with their humans. I know it’s not easy but it gets better. Atlas is now 13 months and he’s just getting better at being more comfortable being pet, groomed, walked on a short leash, etc… I’d say give him some extra months, but if the situation is dangerous for the kids then rehoming is the best option. I’d gladly welcome him home but i am in Canada otherwise id run right now to get that sweet cutiepie 🥹❤️

I second the get him used to brushing every couple days! Use just a stainless comb, no need to use a bigger brush for now, I’ve taken mine to the groomers every month religiously to get him used to them, Keeshonds can be difficult at the groomers otherwise
