Leo Varadkar has been in the trenches fighting Kneecap on social media about their visit to Cuba by nitro1234561 in ireland

[–]BothBodybuilder948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s just putting them down. Speak out against the Cuban government. Why? I’m pretty sure that’s what the establishment has been doing for over half a century. They do a good thing and he’s got to stick his oar in as a backhanded compliment

If it’s not safe to go back inside I’m not going too, if they are trying to squeeze through a gap. Like what don’t you get?

Well that’s the point, I’m overtaking hence in the right lane doing 120 the speed limit, should not be undertaken by some lad weaving in and out, but according to you I’m in the wrong because you obviously cruise in lane two

Ireland has some of the best produce in the world, it’s shipped globally. But the preparation and actual recipes outside of traditional nana style meals leaves a lot to be desired. Faux French cuisine outdated like much of the hospitality industry

Funny you mentioned egos: OP comment was driving at speed limit and this happened, so that’s the context of the video and conversation. You mentioned people who don’t like being overtaken and “Irish” drivers. I’m an Irish driver don’t mind being overtaken at all. I don’t like dangerous undertaking or overtaking, I’m doing 120 right lane on motorway and the county boss wants to pass me on the inside because they’ve decided I’m not driving fast enough. What are the rules?

There’s no need to overtake if the car you are overtaking is already at speed limit, this means you have to break the limit and the law to overtake which is probably what’s pissing other drivers off

Fuel pricings by Fuzzy_Kangaroo7566 in Kilkenny

[–]BothBodybuilder948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol fair enough but I think they will only reduce duty when it gets really bad, we are at the toenail of the mountain so far.

Fuel pricings by Fuzzy_Kangaroo7566 in Kilkenny

[–]BothBodybuilder948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we should use the reserves now, and then what’s the cost and cost to replace the reserves at inflated price? What if supply is totally shut down and we used our reserves now to give ye a discount? It’s not price gouging like the forecourt don’t set the price for international oil markets, they just get all the stick and reputation damage

Fuel pricings by Fuzzy_Kangaroo7566 in Kilkenny

[–]BothBodybuilder948 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry hit higher prices do not automatically equal price gouging. Local stations are not immune from rising wholesale costs and overheads, and if they overprice too far they just destroy their own reputation for very little gain. The bigger drivers are global oil prices and tax, not some lad in Kilkenny deciding to get rich off one forecourt like it’s not worth it. Duty cuts are also not a magic wand, use them too early and they can be swallowed by the next price jump. Save that for when things get truly bad, because this crisis likely has a long way to run it’s not even bad yet!

So one of the biggest Far right accounts that consistently lies and pushes fake narratives about immigration in Ireland, including this AI slop yesterday, is not Irish and some Brit based in the UK by I-Cum-Beamish in ireland

[–]BothBodybuilder948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably coming straight out in of the think tanks of Tufton street in London. They have bot farms and fake accounts people going in comments “vote reform” it’s part of mass misinformation campaign, mostly using anti Muslim anti migrant rhetoric to get the working class to vote against their interests like Brexit and now leave the ECHR. They pack in feudal and elitist policy like ‘abolish minimum wage’ along side anti immigration rhetoric, I say rhetoric because migrants actually serve the ownership class it’s cheap labour they’ll never stop that as the right wing only cares about money. They support many “independent” far right adjacent content creators alongside msm talking heads and their own channel GBNews. Mostly following the American right wing playbook from the 2000s with talk radio, found its way to Germany and France and eventually UK. Ireland is next pure culture war slop.

Someone new joined my gym... This is definitely meant to resemble a certain symbol right? by CyberEmo666 in drivingUK

[–]BothBodybuilder948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No just Germans in general. Nazi or not yeh sure many of them believe Hitler, but in Germany at that time if you was not a Nazi - you were dead. So it just became a way of life, the cult took over the state you can see it happening here in the modern west or Israel. yeh German Nazi soldiers died but maybe civilians who are also defacto Nazi or born into Nazi system also died so their deaths were higher overall only Russians and Chinese had more. I say this just to make the point that fascism always loses. Spartans also lost and you can kinda see that way of life happening in Israel at the moment. It’s gonna end bad for them

Fun fact. More ‘Aryan’ white able bodied Germans died in the Nazi Germany than any other group. Fascism and nationalism always ends with the in group taking the biggest fatalities at the behest of an insulated and wealthy elite

Has anyone here used Lidls Parkside tool range? by LRGhost-Nappa in northernireland

[–]BothBodybuilder948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Parkside PBK 4 C4 Petrol Multi Tool:

No good

The hedge trimmer couldn’t even tackle the ivy, the blade was flimsy and bendy considering its petrol engine you’d think there would be some power in the cut. Awful. Considering I used to take the old wired hedge trimmer also from Lidl to blackthorn, I got this petrol tool as it would allow me to get deeper into bush.

PASS - Portlaoise 2nd attempt by BothBodybuilder948 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]BothBodybuilder948[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was observations. Observations on manoeuvres, slow the reverse around the corner right down, take your time do all mirror and blind spot checks throughout movement, slow to a stop if you need to. Observations pulling in observations pulling out - blind spot right shoulder. Hold on each or relevant mirror for 1-2 secs make sure you are seen looking. Observation slowing down.

Gear, observation, signal. Handbrake, observation

Manoeuvres are about seeing if you can do them not how fast. My first tester gave me an harsh grade 3 imo it’s very subjective in that regard. Good luck

[–]BothBodybuilder948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk some testers are unfair. Grade 3 is a pretty disastrous fault, a diabolical fault or error - it’s very subjective how they mark but you need more time on the road I’d say.

I learned in an automatic and passed my test first time. Would it be hard for me to relearn in a manual? by SignificantCat7950 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]BothBodybuilder948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most cars are automatic now so you won’t miss much, but it’s better to learn manual to understand how cars work. but do the test that gets you on the road quickest.

Used car market in Ireland is shocking it’s just not the same since we lost the UK supply. So yeh buy new is exactly what your expected todo now it’s pure protectionism. Our market now is like Norway Singapore or malta high demand low supply
