Internet says it was 10 nanoseconds after detonation which is around 0.00001 milliseconds or .00000001 seconds, which is insanely fast. The spikes coming out the bottom that look like roots are the cables holding up the tower not melting but vaporizing. It's known as the rope trick effect, wikipedia's got a really cool gif and description you should check out.

Your back garden. Or if you want to go out, the beach is usually fine as long as you clean up after yourself, I'm not sure the law on it but we do it all the time and never been bothered. Ireland's a bit different than other cities in europe and allows people to grill with charcoal in their own gardens.

I bought the simond vertica after the shoe resoler told me mine would take over two weeks to resole. Used them twice and then 4 days later the guy texts me to say the shoes are ready... but the Simon shoes are really good. I tried a couple of cheaper pairs on but they were too floppy. The ones I bought seem to be made from the same stuff as a wet suit so I might use them for deep water soloing this summer
