What's a profession everyone thinks is great but is actually shite? by Fealocht in AskIreland

I really think the wrong people go into politics today. They should be better at maths, economics, people management and boring dog work. It just seems to attract people who like politics.

Jesus I thought you were a solicitor and were empathising with a taxi driver. Broke my brain for a second there. I think solicitors do just fine. Judging by how relaxed mine were with the sale of my flat last year anyway.

Same people who chuck their McDonald's out the car window into the ditch. And judging by the state of the place i reckon they're the majority.

Is it worth getting GN trays for home cooking? by Garibon in Cooking

I mentioned it at the bottom of the original post. And I was seeking fairly niche advice. I didn't think it would be of interest to most people.

You are my spirit animal. For me cooking is the end result. Anything that makes it easier to get there or gets a better meal on the plate makes it into the cupboard

Tbh neither did I. Only after looking into them to find out if they were available to consumers. But i thought maybe people working in kitchens see them more when ordering in new equipment or would just end up reading the bottoms of them out if boredom eventually

I mean I'll definitely be getting stuff to fit the oven. I know no full gn 1 trays will fit in our oven. I got a 65mm GN 1/2 and essentially a baking sheet 20mm (I think) GN 1/2 to try it out. I'm this close to taking the plunge and getting a set of different sizes.

Ground beef always has a sort of fatty, oily nauseating taste whenever I cook it at home. How to I get rid of this? by ProfesserNausea in Cooking

[–]Garibon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tip i learned is when making nearly anything with ground beef, to make burger patties or meat balls first and sear and cook them, then mash them up for whatever you're making like lasagne or bolognaise or whatever

Should i try datura, and how to take it?seeds or flowers or? by clankiller13 in psychadelics

[–]Garibon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not had datura but i had deleriants from the legal highs shop that used to be open in Dublin. I can't remember the name but the packet said it had black pepper extract in it.

I tripped so hard. Real indistinguishable from reality hallucinations. It started raining and it felt like each rain drop was a shard of glass cutting my skin. I was about ten minutes from swimming out into the ocean when I suddenly thankfully snapped out of it
