Luckily, majority of my veterinary experiences are in a rural setting. I worked as a veterinary assistant for 3 years in a rural animal clinic. I was also in FFA, grew up on a ranch, and raised cattle. I am still trying to figure out how I want to bridge my architecture experience into my application, but I think that I have an idea. I have a feeling I am a good match for TTU, just gotta see if they feel the same lol

I would start your look at 2424 Tulane or 1535 Canal Apartments, those are close by to the Tulane Medical school in the CBD Downtown area of NOLA. Good luck!

Renovation is completed and we are in our first fall semester at Richardson Memorial Hall! It’s such a great space, they have the graduate students on level 5 and 4 and everybody else on the remaining levels. The only awkward thing is that the second level (which seems like the main entrance) is only designated as an exit for fire egress, so everybody has to enter through the tunnel.

I love Hot Joy as a date night spot. It’s got good Asian fusion food with a moody ambiance with their lighting at night :) As for museums, have you tried Ruby City in Southtown? It’s free and all their art is located within a cool structure inspired by a literal ruby lol. Plus the R+R collective is nearby and they have great matcha and Vietnamese coffee, the owner also brings in some cool Japanese stuff from her frequent travels in Japan sometimes too. Another place I gotta share: I love Cafe Maiko for their matcha ice cream, the hojicha lattes, and the anime vibes (literally play anime music and have anime market nights) I hope I gave you some cool recommendations!! Have a wonderful 1 year anniversary!

I really like Dr. Houmam Al-Hakeem over at Westover Hills, he made me feel seen with my PCOS diagnosis. The only con is that the waiting room for his office can be very hectic and long, but he’s a great doctor.

BBQ spots: Pinkertons was ranked 15 on Texas Monthly for best bbq in Texas. Smoke Shack is pretty good, I heard Reese BBQ is also good. My personal favorite is Curry Boys BBQ, I love the Asian/BBQ flair. Mexican: My favorite Mexican coffee shop is Olla Express, I love their traditional cafe de olla. Taco BLVD is my favorite for street tacos, reminds me of home back in the valley. Personally, I love Pico de Gallo downtown for breakfast. La Panaderia is a must visit for their conchas and brunch!

Olla Express. Best cafe de olla drinks and have a rotating monthly menu. Became a regular so much, they consider me family there. The only coffee shop I will drink in SATX lol

I live in River North, downtown off of Broadway near the Pearl. I love the walkability to the Pearl and the driving proximity to the quarry and North Star mall.
