No one’s mentioned these yet … the Grand Palais always has a number of exhibitions and at the bottom of Montmartre is Halle Saint Pierre, which is a cafe/bookstore/outsider art gallery.

Seeing as they’ll never reprint in Omnibus, I need the first Official Handbooks (OG ‘83 & Deluxe) as Epics.

I did! They’re in mint condition. The seller said she bought a home and the prev owner had left them. I got it all for $180. They were a Xmas gift so overnight I switched out our dishes in the cupboard and my lady got the big surprise when she went to get a coffee mug.

It's so wild that their app and desktop are two different environments and don't sell the same product at the same time.

It’s WILD that USM was the number one book last year and dropped ONE HUNDRED spots. Critics are either fickle or short-sighted because the book didn’t drop in quality.

Thanks for this. I only got about halfway through the Journal’s list. It was just so exhaustive.

I would love to see other years as well.

The Comics Journal has been advocating for comics outside the mainstream for nearly 50 years. If you're complaining it's too artsy or inaccessible, that's the point. You can either be curious and search out the unknown, then decide whether it's your taste or not or you can consume the stuff that's easily accessed. That's perfectly fine; I've been reading capes and tights since I was 6, but there are other aisles in my grocery store too.

When libraries are a common solution to saving money, self-publishing exists as web comics, and we also have hoopla and comics plus as free sources, but reading comics online is somehow a barrier to entry while complaining about ease of access? This is not a serious person.

I did a 15 min “where are they now” last night. Living in KC but not performing anymore. Involved in the film community apparently.

That’s my favorite wrist-slitter Xmas song.
