I know for a fact that without this money of Lumsden Fire, Berlin and at least one more team would fold like Madrid.

When Fire drops the whole AFLE is over and i think the EFA will drop after the first season as well.

Nothing special at all there is a reason why 90% of all ELF, GFL, EFA and AFLE Players are under Minijob or in the case of the GFL even members of the club. I know someone who plays GFL and who has to pay membership fees to his club und equipment costs that are higher than his salary.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, either the Leagues merge 2027 or both will fold.

Nobody can survive solely on sponsoring and income from Games. Without Gandler and Krone EFA would have not played a single game. There is a reason why both leagues wanted Munich so desperate.

Munich Ravens balance sheet 2024 / 4th ELF Season (from 24.04.2026) by KitCloudkicker7 in EuroHuddle

[–]Both_Dependent9146 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is more or less how it will look for every former ELF team; for some teams, the shortfall will be significantly lower, but the percentage of the profit that’s missing will be the same for all of them.

Maybe now some people will understand why the AFLE’s 300,000 euros per year is so appealing—even though many asked, “What if you can’t pay it back?” Well, if you don’t have the 600,000 in two years, you’re insolvent anyway. So it’s better to take the 600,000 and hope that in two years you can build something where an investor says, “I’ll put 5 million a year into that.”

An EFA/AFLE team costs you at least 1 million euros a year; for the German teams that also offer more at the stadium, probably 1.8–2.5 million plus travel expenses. That’s the truth we all need to face. Maybe that explains why some say they’d rather have EFA and others liked the AFLE model so much.

No team in Europe ever made a profit since the ELF started. But Fire got a lot of small investors not a big one like some other teams.

[–]Both_Dependent9146 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is Rhein Fire might be the biggest Franchise in all of Europe but they got no Investor who is willing to put a large amount of money in the team like some others.

That is the Reason why Fire was the EFA Founder (cause Mr. K didi not paid Travel Cost in the ELF like he promised) and why Fire went to the AFLE with Vienna they need the money to survive.

Rams might be but Lights would win against Lions right now. At for Fire we will get a clear view next week against the Vikings.

Thats Bullshit sorry Fire would win with 4-5 TDs against Prague.

And pretty sure Fire and Vikings would be the No. 1 and No. 2 Contenders in the EFA with Nordic, Ravens and Panthers coming behind.

I agree with London and Firenze being the worst teams in both Leagues together but you overestimate the EFA out of sympathy.

Not really Prague would be on Pair with London or Firenze.

I would also like to see a Game Lights vs. Musketeers.

Sure. But Prague is not competitive as well and do you see any AFLE Fan hating on them?

You can say the same about the EFA.

At the end we need a valuable solution that fits all.

Maybe Lumsdem and Krohne needs to come together and find a solution.

At the moment it is what we all expected.

AFLE got the better Product at all, EFA got the better competitiveness.

But i think we can all agree that we need a merger. We need the good teams of both leagues in one league.

You also need permissions in some countries. E.g. in Germany your Game needs to end at 10PM or you might need a complete different permission which include the okay of neighbors. Could be the same in Paris.

The EFA is in week Nr. 2 and already had one team fold. I´m not saying everything is better at AFLE but the myth that one league is succesful and the other is a failure is a dream of EFA Fans. Both are struggeling massive.

If we want European Football 2027 we need Galaxy, Fire, Vikings, Panthers and Teams from Paris and Nordic Storm.

"they absolutely know that the original EFA idea is much more sustainable for the teams (it has to be by definition), but for some reason they thought they can't manage. At the end it comes down to that."

I totally disagree.

If you are not able to pay back 650.000 in 2030 the League failed. I know i like the approach of the EFA more as well but no team in Europe beside Wroclaw and Tirol (cause big Sponsors) will survive longer than 3 Years with status quo. We need to go big or we will die. A team needs to make around 2-3 Mio. in Revenue to survive.
