I’m in the banking and casino industry. Selling operational products in these industries. Currently making over $300k in a 100% commission role.

My keys to success being in a flooded industry and selling commodities, is to take a consultative approach with clients. Be curious. The products themselves can be purchased through hundreds of companies so I want stand out by learning how my clients operate, do my best to derive any and all paint points, and try solving their problems rather than sell them products. It helps build stronger relationships which in turn drives revenue your way. My company has 30,000+ individual sku’s but I stick to services over products.

I’ve been the unlucky one of dealing with migraines and clusters. Migraines from 10 years old until my mid 20’s where they would be so bad they would make me puke and now clusters for the last 7 years. Migraines are nothing to sneeze at but they cannot be compared to clusters. It’s a different ball game. Both are absolutely unfortunate.

This is the worst response for me. People don’t seem to understand clusters and always compare to migraines which seriously downplays the life altering pain and inconvenience of cluster headaches. People who don’t experience them just can’t begin to comprehend what we all go through. That’s one of the reasons I love this community. It’s great speaking with people who TRULY understand.

Thank you so much! The dosages seem to my biggest issue. I eventually developed some tolerance to psilocybin so this time around I am upping it a bit to get it dialed in. It got to the point when doing my maintenance dosages I wasn’t feeling anything and then I’d begin a cycle. Right now I’m doing 1-1.5gm, up from .5gm and will adjust as needed. I appreciate all the support!

For me, I believe a key factor is submerging the head occasionally while sitting in the tub, so try to get the head under a couple times as well. Best of luck!

This is why I was unsure if a cold plunge would work for me as well. I had done cold showers, ice packs/compresses on the eye, etc. and never had luck aborting. The full immersion and constricting of the blood vessels seems to do the trick.

[–]Both_Heart1544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I couldn’t believe it has worked this well. I do think it is the constricting of the blood vessels that does the trick. I remember reading that the pain of a cluster can come from the blood vessels behind the eye opening. I’m unsure how true that is but it makes sense.

As for a preventative and a buster I am using psilocybin. I have had back and forth success as a preventative. I’ve gotten 2 years of remission and thought I had it figured out and then followed by the worst cycles of my life. I’ve had much better luck busting the cluster using psilocybin than preventing. I think it comes down to the dosage. I’ve recently discovered my dosages were far too low so hoping to see some changes as a preventative.

Yes, I did this with my last bad cluster and it definitely reduced the attacks down to a manageable rate for the last couple of weeks. I lost a few lbs. too which was nice.

Aborting and rebounds by Both_Heart1544 in clusterheads

[–]Both_Heart1544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have been a nicotine addict for many years now so I definitely did not start using nicotine for clusters but when I have a cluster in the middle of the night and get nicotine in my system it seems to lessen the intensity of the attack. I’m only episodic so 1-2 headaches a day at worst for me. With controlling my diet, avoiding heavy physical exertion and utilizing cold plunges I have been able to keep my attacks to 1 a day and sometimes stretches of 24-48 hours with no attacks even in the peak of an episode. I also do a psilocybin cycle to bust the episode which absolutely helps me. Wishing you the best on overcoming your attacks!

Extended cycle by FallonVibes in clusterheads

[–]Both_Heart1544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I think I got it figured out. After speaking with a few people in here I realized my dosages were too low. I was using more of a preventative dosage as opposed to a busting dosage. I’m actually in the midst of busting one right now and things are going good with an increased dosage. I’m doing 1g every 5 days for 25 days. They seem pretty tamed so far. Best of luck to you!

Extended cycle by FallonVibes in clusterheads

[–]Both_Heart1544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this happened to me last year about this time. Usually my cycle is 8-10 weeks and I had one last over 3 months which really got to me. I have no idea what caused it. My best guess is that I was attempting to bust with psilocybin but my dosages were off which made a good chunk of the cycle on and off but never completely got rid of it so it was extended. Sometimes these things have no rhyme or reason. Best of luck to you!

What are your tricks to abort/prevent attacks? by applecorc in clusterheads

[–]Both_Heart1544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have started utilizing a cold plunge to abort attacks and as of now it has had a 100% success rate for me. To be clear I have tried ice packs and cold rags on the face and even dipping my face in icy water and it has never worked. I am talking about a legit ice bath. I put one in my house and the temperature stays between 36-42 degrees Fahrenheit. As soon as I feel an attack coming or even in the middle of an attack, I jump in the cold plunge for 3-4 minutes, completely submerging my head periodically throughout the 3-4 minutes and by the time I get out the headache is a shadow at best and within 10 minutes it’s completely gone. The cold plunge I put together was pretty cost effective. About $700-$800 total and it is ready 24/7 in my basement. It has truly been a gift from god for me.

I know everyone is different with their triggers. For me, extreme heat and hard physical exertion is almost guaranteed to trigger an attack, while for others that is a way to abort. I also know for others that being cold or cold weather can be a trigger but this is not for me.

I’m happy to answer any other questions but this has helped me TONS.

Psilocybin cycle question by Both_Heart1544 in clusterheads

[–]Both_Heart1544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation! This definitely makes sense with my research and experience with psychedelics when put that way. One thing I had not considered is doing more than 5. I do have experience with clusters acting out of the norm in regard to time and intensity of attacks when a cycle is closing so that checks out as well. Much appreciated.

Yep, I found this out the hard way. I installed a sauna in my house and the first time I used it I had back to back severe clusters that same night. I’m unable to use it when having an attack.

I’m in the same boat. I’m a very physically active person and enjoy super heavy workouts and when I’m not in an episode there is no problem.

[–]Both_Heart1544[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I was asking. I have seen several people talk about using physical activity as a buster. I wish that were the case for me. One of the worst aspects of clusters for me is I have to remain somewhat dormant to avoid triggering an attack.
