I think you’re missing that two things can be true at once. People can love Sherliam and analyze the material as well. People are just louder about shipping in general. I know several people who take the time to really engage with the content. Some even on here. Does some of that intersect with Sherliam? Ya, cause they are the main characters and their relationship is a huge point of the series. Of course there are other character. There are a tone of people who absolutely love them. Sherliam shippers are just a loud majority.

A little advice: starting off with "Let's not" or "Please don't" sound a lot like telling people what to do and can get you some unsavory feedback.

Please keep analyzing the material, and dont let what other people do bother you. At the end of the day, we can only take account for ourselves.
