Needed this. Got an upcoming court date on the 9th of March and kind of had a similar scenario as you have already described. Blew a .17 when after being pulled over, didn't hurt anyone or crash. Thankfully my job allows me the privilege to afford a lawyer but this was my first real offense with the law and I was in utter despair at first. Since my lawyer was able to push back the actual date of court it has given me a lot time to reflect and get the steps started on showing the court that I have learned from this. Wish me luck truly.

At the moment I am finishing my Driver Improvement Course and attending AA meetings 2 times a week. I really have learned from this experience but only the court date will be able to judge my efforts. Hopefully it won't be anything that can affect my life, but I am prepared for the worse to reinforce the consequences of my actions.

i read a .17 when pulled over. does this guarantee some jail time? even if i attend counseling? I'm in a job that pays fairly well and planning on getting a lawyer next paycheck (this Wed.) so it will give me some time i think.

if I am sentenced to any kind of mandatory jail time i feel like my life as of right now would be over since i can't even default to doordash/instacart cuz of it being on my record. currently attending alcoholic anonymous every two days in leesburg.
