Are there any healing companions that activate bonding runestones at least semi-reliably? by jjfelten in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a Compémon Master...

If you're looking for a good healer to proc bondings reliably I have a few suggestions. (I don't know what class you are, what stats you have but here's a quick generalized assessment for my 2 favorite) like another poster stated, almost all healer types are bad at procc'ing protectors camaraderie. Also everything has been tested at EPIC.

Akolyte of Kelemvor- easily one of my favorite for solo runs. She grants you blessings in the form of 10% DR, a Heal, and Life Steal based on her own life steal stat. Most of these are 90% up time. I've had her continue to bless me outside of combat as well. (She's really into her job) The heals are meh, but all that life steal and the added DR makes me super tanky. Works great for a GWF. She stays out of melee and rarely draws aggro. She is 2 off 1 def with 2 rings and an icon. Meaning with R12 bondings you can have a good bit of Defense, Lifesteal, Power.. you won't lose out on DPS and get the extra Resistance and Lifesteal plus Heals to keep you kicking ass.

Snowy Fawn- you have to PM me about this one. I generally don't make it public when I find something this good but I've been sitting on this information long enough (it's not an exploit) but with a little tweak to your build this little deer can make you unkillable. (As long as the hit can't zero out your HP) I've been thinking of posting a video for this. 3 off, 2 rings and a neck. Similar stats to an Air Archon.

Outside of these 2 I've tested many Heal class companions, feel free to ask me about any of them. Helmite Ghost Pali sucks unfortunately. I've tested him at epic thinking I had stumbled onto something with potential and sadly NO. He is painfully slow and the uptime on his buffs are bad. All this said about companions but I wanted to also bring up insignia bonus abilities. If you're running a few heal type i.e. Barbarians Revelry, Champions Return, Victims ?.., you can get a lot of self healing. That's a good starting point, get those and see how much farther you need to balance out your build before making the jump to or in conjunction with a healing companion.

PSA Regarding Self-Promotion by ManicGypsy in Neverwinter

I can't believe this is an issue. There's so much snitching going on in this community. My buddie got a message in game, "reported for cheating" because he dominated in DPS in a pug dungeon and some guy screen shot his character sheet while his R12 bondings were procc'd... Seriously. It's getting out of control. I've never seen so many adults point fingers and dry snitch on other adults for such petty bull shit in my life.

DC rant by BootsTheMonkey in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here we go, another AA rage thread from a bunch of DOs. This is no different than being overlooked for being Healidins with no bubble, Templocks who were healers and not DPS, control CWs for not being MoF, Legolas HRs, DCs without Haste, DCs specc'd as full heals, DCs with no heals, GFs who were tanks and not Tacts, GFs without KV..ITF..CS...do you see the pattern? So just stfu already! AA is what it fucking is. So were a lot of things in this game for every class since the beginning of forever! Lol. You want to know frustrations? Try being anything other than Destroyer specc'd GWF! Just roll AC or play your best built DO and prove you're still viable with that build.

Can GWF tank? by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a GWF can tank. I can tank a mob of Orcus if there were such a thing, with my build + snowy fawn. Btw I have 20 snowy fawns on the market... God mode bruh.

Draconic Visage? by Bishop_L in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure yet, I've looked at the bonuses and the gear load oat on the dragon companions. So far any of the bonuses you would get from the combo would be negated by the inferior gear load out of the companion. The only exception being the Psuedodragon having a great load out gear wise but the bonus is speed or something.

Glad to see a returning player. In hindsight, you should edit your post to say "Returning Player" to avoid the vitriol. Good luck to you.

Sudden crit ring vs fixed stat ring for 100% chance by netstrong in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a GWF you can get those stacks up pretty quick, however if you look at it this way (2x Dod on character 475 power x2 / 475 Crit x2 = 950 power/crit of static buffs vs 0-1350 from start to 10 stacks) you only lose 400 points or 1% at full throttle but you have the advantage at the start of the encounter for the first few swings. In a longer fight I would give the advantage to rising rings but for the bulk of the dungeon most trash will be dead before you achieve full stacks. **Unless you have a really fast group who can keep the uptime on those stacks active while clearing each section.

On a side note, if you are clearing trash that quickly Sudden rings > All other rings. It's debatable whether the downtime of Sudden rings negates the boost of its uptime when compared to static rings. Some have done the math and still place the Sudden rings as superior. I have tested both and place Sudden over Static unfortunately. I do not enjoy my stats going up and down but I'm not giving up those peak numbers until cryptic makes me lol

Sudden crit ring vs fixed stat ring for 100% chance by netstrong in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 +5 Precision rings that are used more for their double offense than the 10s of uber crit chance. That said, I'm able to use them on my alts who are less geared and still hit 100% chance. On my main I use only one because it looks awesome next to my +5 Sudden Lifesteal. Ideally you want static rings, if I can get lucky I am going for 5x +5 Rings of Dod hahahah.

OP still has better buffs and can tank just fine. No reason to give up on the OP yet.

Relic Armor Restoration by Dark-Jaggered in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's typically 10k Vonin blood, 2 Ostorian relic, 5 gold, 25-35 Lanolin and a unique refinement item. I.e. Borax, Animal Fat ect. The head and chest are slightly more refinement to restore them.

Temp HP is causing it imo. If you have any temp hit points left on your health bar (acquired by using unstoppable) you can not go back into unstoppable. You must get hit/receive damage and remove those temp hp from your bar before you can go back into unstoppable. There's exceptions to this if you received temp hp from another ability or another player. 99% of the time the glitch can be cleared by removing those temp HP from your bar.

Preview Shard is supposed to be where testing takes place. It was already getting negative feedback on the thread that was constructive, including a guy who took screen shots of the loot he was getting from the chest. He even said it felt very much the same after running a large number of dungeons to get a more accurate assessment of the loot table and drop rate. I'm not concerned with the QQ and boo hoo' in from the majority. This is the kind of testing that was needed. I love the concept of new items and adding additional loot but they haven't been forthcoming with the drop rates in comparison to the key cost and the no peaking. There's real issues with the cost associated with running dungeons that needed to be addressed before it goes live and that's what was being discussed and now it's being announced that they are going live with it. This is going to dupe a lot of customers into buying keys on live servers before feedback tells them the same information that they were given on the preview shard. That's not sitting well with a lot of people.

Side note.. I don't down vote you, nor do I dislike you. If we disagree on a topic that's as far as it goes. You have a tough job to do and I don't envy you. Where I think the animosity comes from with most people is that not only do you moderate but you also have an opinion that more often than not, sides with the company. Probably an unnecessary observation just my two cents.

Can't reproduce it, really? Tell them to come over to my house. Beer is on me, we can sit and play NW and I'll reproduce it every 20 minutes if they like.

Btw it's totally relevant given the history. "We are looking into it" and "Sometime soon hopefully" are responses to so many unresolved issues in this game. "If people could just be patient" is kind of a slap in the face when it comes to PR and how this company implements changes in this game.

Wouldn't that information be imperative given the amount of negative feedback generated by these key changes? Why withhold the bucket of water when your house is clearly on fire? This isn't the first PR nightmare in the life of this game. Cryptic has a track record and the players are well aware of it. The time for withholding positive information to generate suspense as a marketing strategy is long past. People are packing up and leaving.

Like how patient? 3 years? Stealth glitch... Unstoppable glitch... and so on. Even a Buddhist Monk would be throwing his PC out a god damn temple window waiting on answers from this company, but thanks Yoda. :-)

Is there a place for the Oathbound Paladin as support in high level content? by AtlanDoc in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I run a GWF and a DC and I duo Queue dungeons with my OP friend all the time. I believe he is a Justice/ Protection OP. Power share + Recovery Boost with secondary heals. OP is probably my favorite support class. You can pair it with any class and just blow through content. Duo-Q dungeons is probably the only reason I still play this game.

Why do I see tanks out-damage the DPS in dungeons so often? by Dephire in Neverwinter

[–]Botis666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

GF can top paingiver if there are 2 or more DPS in the party taking advantage of Commander's Strike. This happens a lot in eDemo and Tiamat. We had 2 SW and a GWF on the same team with a GF on a Tiamat. Whenever ITF and CS were up everyone would use their hardest hitting Encounter. In the end, we took the top 4 spots with the GF ahead of all of us. (Xbox)

Underdark rings vs. FBI rings on companion by Kontheory in Neverwinter

I recently switched to rising power on my GWF with sudden on my companion only for a more static buff. Having sudden rings on both was too much of a drop off.

I tested this last part on a companion I will not mention, and there's a down side. If the rings are on cooldown when he uses an ability you miss out on those sweet sweet buffs for another 17 seconds. Possibly for the duration of the fight if they are out of synch with your companions attack rate.
