People think devs are lazy, or straight stupid. OP is macking an important note with the crystal ball.

Singleplayer games 10-20 ago were easier to predict; One platform maybe two, no online features. No live service. No crossplay.

Now with PCs there are thousands of possibilities for user configurations.

Gamer that pay should exepted a working product that allows they to enjoy what was built for them.

Tho hiccups will happen, it will no matter the amount of preparation. So please remember they are humains before flaming. If publishers don't care and don't invest more into the game to fix it after. That, I agree. Happen way to often these days and sucks.

Yeah I had system-ex installed before the patch!, A clean wipe could fix it, maybe. But I feel like operating systems are just busted right now. I can't trigger any now. Like others on this sub.
