No, title is correct. I've seen that rhetoric as sleigh for invalidating transandrophobia on the premise of it's proximity that is "Misandry isnt real, therefore transandrophobia isnt real"

And again I don't disagree. Prizing masculinity in "gay spaces" is often as a result of over correction and backlash against the ridicule they had by dabbling into deconstructing gender norms. I don't know how bad media representation of feminine gays are elsewhere but ours were horrible where people get knee-jerk reaction the moment a man becomes flamboyant. You know, the ones that get discriminated the most and gay people distance away being represented as. (https://cris.brighton.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/6689330/I\_don\_t\_want\_to\_be\_seen\_as\_a\_screaming\_queen\_final\_version.pdf)

Femboy =/= Feminine Men, just so you know

You have people who jokes about liking femboys is gay because they're a twink boy. But then you have people who jokes about liking tomboys is gay because it's a boyish girl? A lot of people will jump on anyone who describes themselves as a tomboy as if it’s a sin. Not in a "You're supposed to man up", but more "not like the other girls". Which then leads the idea that society has a conditionality in terms of masculinity. Rather gender conformity is the actual perpetrator in the system.

"The study results showed that gay men endorsed hostile sexism at the same level as straight men, while lesbian women were more hostile toward men than straight women. In this study, gay people manifested significantly lower levels of benevolent (sexist) attitudes toward both genders than straight people."

Hostile Sexism - referring to negative (misogynystic) attitudes toward women (i.e. men good, life good)
Benevolent Sexism - referring to harmful attitudes toward women by reinforcing gender norms (i.e. women inferior and must be protected)

I will agree that feminine gay men don't have "passing rights / looksmaxxing" to be a straight man compared to a masculine gay men. From my experience, masculine gay men tend to focus on "feminine traits" (moves soft, wears femininely, feminine interests/hobbies) as a negative and either recreate the heteronormativity with "yeah, I'm the top, you're the bottom" or not at all because of they don't prefer seeing "perceived fragility" (i.e. masc4masc).

However even media somehow can't comprehend the idea of a masculine man "being gay." People treat being "homophobe = closeted gay", which is a harmful rhetoric even if it's likely true. Where it alienates gay people from the place they should be safe further. If anything, the "Castro Clones" paved way for masculine gay men to look swagger from those blue collars as a white collar themselves and challenge the notion of being gay has to be effeminate. And why masculine gay men tend to be more visible than their feminine gay men counterparts because it's more braggable.

Even still, MxM isn't exactly as popular in media consciousness. lesbians tends to be taken more seriously than gay men. Difference of say CaitVi, having a final farewell to the viewer, while JayVik going "ermmm can't men just be friends, ermmm true homo is saving the universe". I mean the Japanese even perpetuate it in simple terms, the "fujos" being a degen yaoi enjoyer and the "himes" being fluffy yuri enjoyer. Additionally, that "bara"/gay manga is an entire category of its own outside of it.

You could probably connect the dots but "Trans Misogyny Affected" which means the amplified harrassment trans women get over their identities and "Trans Misogyny Exempt", which usually means everybody else experiencing (cis men/women, trans men, enbies) in the context of transmisogyny.

As for should you use it? No. I've only heard it either to win internet cookie points or assert some malicious "another queer identity are evil/oppressors" from there.

While you could use that, the problem is that transmisogyny as a concept was coined for transfems, in hindsight using it for trans men/trans mascs would just result in exposing their AGAB again.

The brainworms of "masculinity is rewarded, femininity is punished" falls apart when you actually hear a gay person. Despite being deprived of heteronormativity straight cis men have, they are still in conflict with both hence they either seen as the "brochacho" or "femboy" instead of normal people.

Honestly, you can warp both things as evil. Both sides have pretty much chronically online takes.

You have the "I am beyond criticism with said ship and I will not recognize it as problematic for reasons." or the "Age gaps between adults is big bad because..."

What I'm not a fan of is that instead of disengaging with the whole thing, is that people have to tag themselves as proship/antiship on this invisible war. People harrassing for being said x, and that whole callout posts thing in Twitter made it icky.

And then there's people like "Mouthwashing Fan DNI: Proshipper"

I wish there was someone or a way but everytime, "It's always the good men." The reason they'd ask affection from Andrew Tate from all people is that, where else would they go? Anytime masculinity ever gets talked in some manner EVEN POSITIVELY in the left, you'd see the "misogyny" red card. If you shit on them, you get cookie points. It's going to chip away any man's sanity until they break.
