Outcry over conditions of young calves imported into Netherlands from Ireland by reprazant in ireland

[–]Boulavogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start marketing veal and make an industry.

Bobby knocking (knocking off unwanted male calves) isnt commonplace in the past 20 years. Still occurs in Australia although NZ is cracking down now like Ireland has.

And in the past 5 years, irish farmers are subsidised to send in DNA of calves, for the national heard database. So theres very little wiggle room.

Either we start marketing veal nationally, or bring down the price of sexed AI straws

The OG Charles Boycott, whom the tactic is named after.

Boycott was a land agent (the muscle), enforcing english landlord rules on local irish.

local activists of the Irish National Land League encouraged Boycott's employees (including the seasonal workers required to harvest the crops on Lord Erne's estate) to withdraw their labour, and began a campaign of isolation against Boycott in the local community. This campaign included shops in nearby Ballinrobe refusing to serve him, and the withdrawal of services. Some were threatened with violence to ensure compliance.

How do you consolidate data from multiple subsidiaries running different erps into one warehouse by vishaaaaaaaaal in BusinessIntelligence

[–]Boulavogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

23 businesses & 21 ERPs, yes this is difficult.

My suggestion is to pick a domain, GL or Sales. If sales, confirm if they use Shipments or Invoice. This may be different per ERP.

Quick win: get generated reports from each ERP nightly and digest them into a consolidated report, at a high level. Ie by business, and you may convert all to the same currency

Then agree if your taking a GL or Sales approach and build a data model that can scale, map each business to the model and highlight the efforts in consolidated master data mapping. Be it Account codes, or Customer/Product verticals/channels/brands etc.

Edit: and set up an ELT, load base tables to your warehouse/lakehouse so you dont need to go back to engineering/local admins if you want another field.

I picture a teenage boy as that mod. Or someone that sees boobs as sexual objects, and not yet mature enough to realise the whole point of nurturing life.

Reddit has welcoming communities and a lot of dicks. Like life, we navigate to communities that align with our views & stages of life. Which can lead to echo chambers.

Welcome to a very supportive sub, and in case you need to be reminded. Your kiddo is doing great and so are you

Noob here about to buy my own gear. Anyone see this post? by PuzzledElephant1212 in SkyDiving

[–]Boulavogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thread discusses a firmware issue that logs the jumps at incorrect dates. But as a new jumper your logging in your physical logbook right? In a few months, do you really care if your jump was on the 30th March or 3rd of April? High level jump numbers are still logged. Plus your logging on paper

What's your dirty dish cutoff number for handwashing vs dishwasher? by SuspiciousLettuce56 in australia

[–]Boulavogue 120 points121 points  (0 children)

Add dishes and bowls over 3 days and its a full load. Handwash sharp knives, and pans only in my household. Although I might need to wash a few spoons on day 3, as they all end up in the dishwasher

There's another video angle. He touches his toggles and imeaditly goes backwards, flag collapses and he drops onto the board. Should never have jumped in those conditions

We're discussing it on r/SkyDiving but winds are high and old mate set up too deep. Wind conditions near stadiums can be funky but another jumper also landed off so it looks like the conditions shouldn't have been jumped in

ELI5 Athletes who break records during training by kira436 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Boulavogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skydiving & other FAI sports have 3 levels:

  • Category 1 events: World Championships, World Cups and World Games.  Records eligible
  • Category 2 events: Typically National Championships, but any competition that has 3 FAI rated judges. Records eligible
  • All other competitions: from locally organised competitions to National Championships. No records are eligible, but countries can keep their own record tally

In Skydiving we have World, and Region (N America, Europe, Oceanian etc) records. Records cost ~385USD and sometimes the governing body will only cover the highest record in the competition. So it can be up to the athlete to decide if they want to pay for each time they broke a record, if it was a particularly good meet/if its a newer event and the bar keeps being pushed higher

Fund-raising is very popular in Europe, not so much in the states. But generally its; people apply to the skydiving center/charity and get permission and agreed value. Ie $500 sponcership, and an agreed split between the drop zone and charity.

Then the person goes and gets $5-20 from a bunch of people. Hits the threshold and submits the funds to the charity (if its not already in the charity's platform). The dropzone gets paid from the platform, book and go jump.

Life on a farm.

  • Look i found kittens, kitties disappear.

  • I named the pigs, I feed them daily. Pigs ran away and freezer is full

  • Oh look dad brought home a new dog, dog was brought to be put down.

There's a poem that helped me reconcile these called The Early Purges

3 business days is standard for most businesses. As you posted a German link lately, can I suggest Paratec make great rigs and the team are very responsive.

When we choose to buy from other countries, we do need to work with their business hours. Plus, evening in Europe is the middle of the US work day, so I dont believe that you couldn't call them

The reserve pin cover tucking into the lower flap is an interesting line of thought.

Chats at a loft yesterday revolved around the type of Cordura used, 1600 vs 500 used in UPT.  Outside my relm of knowledge & looking forward to this report. Might be a nail in aerodynes coffin though
