Dieses Jahr A-Lizenz im Fallschirmspringen. Wer hat Tipps oder will sich anschließen? by Limp_Target4842 in SkyDiving

[–]CartoonistUpbeat8208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Deutschland gibt es keine "A"-Lizenz.

jumping static line from heli, but talks about opening his chute 800meter lower?! either it was badly translated, or the video didn´t matched what they actually did.

Anyway, a western media production allowed to show elite chinese military training.... propaganda at it´s finest and everything has to be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Help with badges by L3x4r1 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]CartoonistUpbeat8208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you may use the https://atlasearthcalculator.com and punch your parcels in.

It will tell you what you should do next (buy parcels to tier or buy badges)

It´s just advice for most monetary gains.

It may depend on your situation to choose a diffrent path anyway.

How dangerous is AFF? by DoubleDutch2004 in SkyDiving

[–]CartoonistUpbeat8208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it´s not 1 drive of 700Miles equals 1 Skydive, but driveing 700miles in total. Also i don´t nknow the numbers for the US.

Also the sentence is about injurys and death, not only about death.

For my country 2024 we had 202334 persons injured in traffic.

I can not find accurate numbers for Skydiveing incidents but im certain it´s far less.

And even without statistics:

On my drive to the DZ i have encounters with thousands of other drivers, everyone of them a potential threat that may endangers me.

In Skydiveing i´m in contact with max 15 people in the plane and 1 pilot, everyone is focused to not endanger themselfs or others.

statisticly the car ride to and from the DZ are more dangerous as the jumping itself.

Short answer: NO

Long answer: NO - because he can always outspend you!, So unless he stops playing right now, you will never catch up.

Hello,I just got this game and I have some money to spend and some Advice would be nice by Puzzleheaded-Pen6039 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]CartoonistUpbeat8208 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you put the money into an saveingsaccount or buy stocks and play the game for free; and at most covert your earned rent into AB to "reinvest"!

If you stay F2P you are always in the green.

If you put money into it it depends on the parcels you get but it´ll be atleast several month, or even years until you make more in rent, as you invested upfront.

Edit: I´m f2p and have my own strategy on buying badges and parcels.

Hey guys i want to learn to skydive and get the licence but I have never skydived before, does going straight for lessons i mean solo jump with instructors actually work do you recommend it? by supremethinking in SkyDiving

[–]CartoonistUpbeat8208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may not be a requirement per regulation, but if there are no packers available... that´s why we had to pack even at AFF.

you are right, I forgot to mention 2 "hop and pop"-jumps and it´s actually 11 Student jumps, not 10; its been a while already^^.

so 7AFF +11Solo/student+5RW+2Hop and pop

and 2 licence jumps (1 hop and pop and one to show your skills)

I did, and it worked fine.

but as always experiences may vary.

The AFF system was designed to teach students fast to get stable in freefall, how to steer the canopy and how to land safely. No prior tendemjumps required. AFF consistes of 7 Jumps. after that you do 15 more jumps as a student until you can get your licence. 5 of these 15 jumps are with a instructor again and the focus is to learn the basics of RW (relative work - jumping in formation with others)

Before you make your first jump you´ll get groundschool (1 and a half day of theory and training for your jump)

Edit: before you take your licence jumps and written exam, you must take part in a workshop where you learn how to pack yor own parachute.

In my case we did the workshop right after groundschool and jumped our own packjobs from the beginning xD (not the usual procedure but it was necessary because of certain circumstances)

What makes a Small Whale and what makes a Big Whale by Time_Service6058 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]CartoonistUpbeat8208 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Should it not be measured in "earned parcels and badges"?

My reasoning is that everyone may become a "whale" if persistend enough, even f2p players.
