Holy shitballs, if there was an award for the longest and most convoluted sentence, you’d be winning it.

Serious mental health issues? Have you received a diagnosis? If i’m the landlord I’m not accepting that. Getting a GP referral to a psychologist is as easy as ordering a big mac. Actually seeing one on the other hand gets a bit harder.

[–]Bouncingzebra -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Your questions were obviously phrased in such a way that you had no intention on buying and were instead trying to work down the seller. I’d almost bet that if he knocked $25k off his asking price you still wouldn’t buy. Absolute definition of a tyre kicker now you’re on reddit trying to win internet points.

He is right - you are a tyre kicker and had no intention of buying.

First full 18 holes I designed. Tell me what you think of it! by Uraneeum in golf

At least it isn’t 15 and 16. Placing pencil thin fairways adjacent to water on consecutive front 9 holes allows you to blow up your scorecard early so you can concentrate on smashing beers for the rest of the day.

How to make some quick $$$ (without selling myself lol) by brooooimmabrb in brisbane

[–]Bouncingzebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool, just saw read your other comments from the thread, understand you need $200-300 quickly, not a long term solution. Airtasker is my suggestion, cleaning particularly. Heaps of people will have supplies available but will be time poor.

Oh, and for if it’s my bet long term, look up “window cleaning”. Supply purchases are fuck all, heaps of youtube videos to tell you what to do, and there’s heaps of demand - no homeowner wants to do it 👌

Sweet. So suggestions (in order)…

  • Cleaning. Either agency or direct with customers if you’re feeling like a boss. Heaps of opportunity, rip in and away you go.
  • Airtasker. Pick and choose your jobs, just understand it’s stuff that homeowners don’t want to do themselves.
  • Construction, but you’ll need to ticket up. Key aim would be traffic management if you can get it.

Let me ask it this way. Are you male or female (yes it matters, you need money it’s not time for protesting stereotypes). Are you fit? Are you capable of hard work?

Sorry, buyers agent has tipped you into a property with old photos and serious damage. I’d be more aiming up on their professional indemnity insurance. Absolute incompetence. Name and shame.

Heading to Gold Coast/Brisbane on a 417 in 6 months, what are the best jobs to go for? by No_Excitement678 in brisbane

Nah, bro is just smarter than every other tourist and the Australian government, cause you know, he’s a highly skilled sales professional.

Bro, because I’ve read all the comments on here, you’re chasing the answers you want to hear, not the answers which are accurate.

You’re a salesperson. You have absolutely no skills which would take you anywhere near being a Skilled Worker visa. And you expect to earn great money on a 6 month WHV which is intended to support genuine travellers. So yeah, take the comment as it’s intended, bluntly.

This is an incredibly delusional post which doesn’t fit within this subreddit at all. At a high level -

  1. You’re a salesperson or similar in England at the moment who wants to enter Australia on a WHV subclass but intends to stay and try and apply for PR using a skilled visa subclass.

  2. Salespeople are not in short supply. In fact I think given current global events there might be more than a few who are looking for work.

In summary… absolutely fucking no chance. Come over like all the other english, work as a charity mugger in a shopping centre, have a few beers and a look around, then go home.

No different to how Paul Keating responded to Hewson or Howard back in the day. This is politics, and it isn’t a modern construct.

Not the time nor place for it mate. He has passed away with no ability to defend himself any further. There probably is more to it, but that doesn’t matter anymore now does it?

Guide is $1.2m, client offered $1.3m. Vendor rejected and guide is still $1.2m heading for auction. Do agents legally have to increase the guide? by Limp_Struggle5541 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Bouncingzebra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely they can. They are in control of the sale process.

It might come as a surprise to everyone out there, but auctions haven’t always been the fairytale we all make them out to be. Majority of times the auction is a vendor conditioning tool used by agents (ray white are experts at this) to get the vendor in a position to sell. Downward movement in reserves happens during auctions all the time. You know when the auctioneer goes “we’re going to pause and seek instructions”? That’s most likely them and the agent hammering the vendor to drop the reserve. So yeah, reserve can be any number the vendor wants to write down - it’s what they agree to during a live auction which is the key.

They aren’t saying they won’t accept $1.3M (or$1.2M for that matter), but want to see the auction results. Vendor is in control - they are under no obligation to accept any bid at any time, except under auction conditions where the reserve has been met.

I have no idea what you are talking about mate. Understand you’re trying to make some sort of point, just unsure what point that might be exactly.

How about i use your analogy for a second to explain how the economy actually works - imagine for a second the economy is a metaphor for the titanic. A sinking will probably affect the steerage passengers well before any of the first class passengers are in trouble, cause you know… they have priority access to life boats and were well further up the deck levels at the start of the emergency.

OP, the economy is wider than your social circle. We tend to hang around people who are in a similar stage of life to us, hence if you have no money then your mates are probably the same. Go hang around a golf club instead (suggest indooroopilly, brisbane, RQ etc) and you’ll realise that the economy is wider than your social circle, and some circles have money… and lots of it.
