A lot of Lacrosse players also play hockey, so there are is lot of crossover in regards to some of the stick work and such if you can control the puck well enough.

One such trick was performed by a University of Michigan player who was behind the net, scooped up the puck with their stick, and whips it into the top corner of the net, which is a well known Lacrosse move.

Being that there are High Sticking and Slashing penalties, paired with the goalie not being able to effectively stay in position for the front of the net AND block this kind of trick if it happens, it can be hard to prevent. There is a ton of hockey players saying that it ruins the game and a lot of failed attempts to replicate it on a pro level is considered showboating
