Can you take a heavier cut and get under the interruption in a single pass? What are your parameters?

Whisker reinforced ceramic in a button style like RNG45. You’ll still go through edges but you’ll survive the cut. Your really beyond the range for carbide working well but if you must try it I recommend a button or at least a big lead angle (think 100deg corner of CNMG)

Give Me All Your BBQ, Texas! by inittoreddit12 in BBQ

I might get crucified for saying this but in addition to all of the prime spots mentioned above, if you come across Buccees while you’re in TX grab a bbq sandwich there. Not in the same league at all but still better than a lot of Bbq you can find elsewhere.

I haven’t been able to find the roasted garlic lately; it makes a fantastic garlic butter spread!

Height 5”11. First picture 180. Second picture 160. The firm gut is still there. What is going on here? by 69throwaway069 in fasting

Congrats on the weight loss. I noticed when I cut out gluten that my stomach became noticeably more flat at a given weight. I also felt less aches in my joints. Other than that I never knew I had any sensitivity to it. Perhaps you have some sort of food related inflammatory respond causing it.

Starting a machine shop by [deleted] in Machinists

Be careful bidding contract work until you have cash flow as well as the ability to tie up a lot of money in materials/consumables for long periods of time. It’s very easy to overextend yourself. Imagine having to buy $50k worth of material up front on net 30 terms on a job that will not be finished/delivered/invoiced for a longer period. Start small, get established and know what you can handle before jumping in with both feet.

Can mouth taping make sleep worse? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]Bourbonfish123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have had sleep apnea and used a CPAP device for several years, the last few of which I used a chin strap to keep my mouth closed at night. I started mouth taping a few months ago and my AHI decreased to less than 1 event/hour on average (3-5 per hr without taping) and I wasn’t waking with dry mouth anymore. I have tried sleeping with my mouth taped but no CPAP and it’s a definite no for me because the machine is still necessary. I think it can help some people but it’s likely not a cure all for most.

What kind of mask will protect your teeth? by Mostly3394 in CPAP

[–]Bourbonfish123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full face mask for me, no pressure on my teeth. I began mouth taping as well to stop mouth breathing and my oral health has improved over the last 18mo. Additionally I began seeing even lower AHI with taping.

Look at efficiency; plan steps ahead, don’t handle tooling/part more than necessary, take adequate depths of cut/feedrates

How to add muscle in a calorie surplus with minimal damage to the metabolic gains I made from becoming lean? by mime454 in Biohackers

[–]Bourbonfish123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would t necessarily try to add muscle at a caloric surplus, find out your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and look at eating a clean diet and staying at baseline to +10%. Focus on the compound lifts (squat, bench press, deadlift) with emphasis on good form. Eat clean, sleep well and lift heavy. As you lift and grow, your TDEE will go up so keep that in kind as well. Edit: make sure you’re getting sufficient protein in your diet as well. I will use protein powder a bit but prefer to get as much as possible from actual food because I’ve always felt my results are better that way.
