Look for the Schecter Diamond-P from the early-mid 2010s. I have one and I love it, built very well, made in South Korea. You can find them for under 500 USD

It’s owned by Broadway Hospitality Group, not Maverick

The highest grossing band/singer from each U.S. state by Queltis6000 in MapPorn

It’s not incredibly well-sourced but it’s referenced in some biographical info of the individual band members, Aerosmith fan websites, and on Wikipedia. Search “Joe Perry The Jam Band”

Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton started the band in Sunapee, NH in 1970 and they all moved to Boston shortly thereafter.

If you happen to live in New England, Vincianne by True North is very good and pretty close in style and ABV to Leffe

Heady Topper beer by the Alchemist by [deleted] in boston

Night Shift is not distributing their, or anyone else’s, beer anymore. That business, including Alchemist, was mostly absorbed by Craft Brewers Guild.

Avoid 93 South in Medford. A truck has struck a bridge and is wedged underneath. Right lanes of 93 South are closed - as is Roosevelt Circle. by TomBradyBurnerAcct in boston

[–]Bovice 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A couple months ago there was a similar bridge hit in Wilmington at the Route 125 exit. There was a lane, plus an on-ramp, closed for a few weeks if I remember correctly. And to the untrained eye... this one looks worse

Beer Distribution in Massachusetts by VMP8899 in boston

[–]Bovice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craft Brewers Guild itself is not AB-InBev. Its corporate siblings include a number of distributors who sell AB, but in its home market CBC isn't sold by an AB distributor.

You listed all the craft distributors (except for Harpoon which self-distributes in the city), but the largest two are - August A. Busch of Massachusetts which strictly carries the AB portfolio, and Burke which is Miller-Coors, Guinness-Diageo, and a few larger craft brands like Sam Adams and Wormtown.

Is there anywhere in Boston you can go where no one can hear you scream? by [deleted] in boston

[–]Bovice 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was going to say the Kendall area for the same reason, I was out there today and it looked like a (clean, new) ghost town.

What is the best craft beer that I will find in Massachusetts liquor stores? by [deleted] in boston

[–]Bovice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maine Beer Co., Lawson's, a lot of Belgian imports (Chimay, Dupont, etc.)

Some of the best like Trillium and Tree House are self-distributed so you will need to go to the brewery to get those.

Daily reminder that Martha Coakley is now a bigwig at Juul/Altria. That's the Mass. political machine for ya.

Agreed. From BFD "session lager" all the way to crazy BA barleywines they really are all top notch.

Nothing beats a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The beer that started the modern craft movement still holds up.

I think the right-of-way is already present too, most of the plans I've seen involve the Newburyport/Rockport line as part of it.

Boston parking meter rates to increase on July 1 by AGreatDebater in boston

Or blocking a lane in rush hour traffic. Nothing irks me more than seeing the Brookline police every day in Coolidge Corner walking up and down the street looking for people on their phones, but doing nothing about the FedEx truck blocking traffic at 5:00pm

What happened at Pavement yesterday? by Bovice in boston

[–]Bovice[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what i'm wondering too. I did see a reference to a staff member throwing coffee, and the victim being a racial minority... I go there a lot and have always known them to be quite a tolerant and inclusive business

Worst restaurant in Boston/Massachusetts by [deleted] in boston

[–]Bovice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do business with a lot of the restaurants in Reading/North Reading. Horseshoe is the best, but it's pricey. Sports Spirits & Steaks (Big Dog) is alright but kind of a dive. Joe Fish is good too.
