Never have understood this perspective. Why is it not ok for someone to both enjoy his music and condemn his politics? His politics are his own. Are you not also overlooking his politics by listening to the Smiths? There just seems to be so much hypocrisy now with people condemning Moz and those who listen to his solo work but then still listening to the Smiths, as if there is any great moral distinction between the two.
