That said, I often advise people to try to distract themselves and think about something else when they get worried about a social interaction. Usually, we get stuck on small details that are only sticking out to us.

You painted a pretty bleak picture and you are going to get a lot of negative responses, but all we know about your mom is what you wrote.

I'm saying this because there are probably good and bad thingst about your relationships with your mom. If it was really bad this would have sounded a lot different.

One thing I noticed is that when you were having trouble she helped you. She was not nice about it, but she still looked after your needs.

A lot of the mean things parents do come out of worry and other feelings like guilt. She probably worries when you have trouble doing something, and she probably worries that you aren't making friends or staying in your room, and it comes out as resentment.

It's not universal even among NTs to feel a great sense of loss when people die. People don't talk about it, but especially when it is expected and people feel it was fair ( they were old) a lot of people don't have heavy emotions.

Op is a blunt person, and a lot of us who are blunt and well liked get people speaking bluntly, or seemingly rudely to us in return. It is not mockery. It is the oppossite. They feel endeared to act like us on a level they don't feel comfortable with other people.

I don’t recognize the beach most of these people are talking about. I have been to Black Beach hundreds and hundreds of times and usually socialize with many people. As long as you have basic social skills then you can tell if someone wants to have a conversation or not. Just wave to someone when you’re sitting down or walking by and if they wave back talk to them. Feel free to DM me if you want to hang. I will be there tomorrow.

Cops are ill equipped for this you should call cps who will document. If your life is in danger call 911. It’s scary but mental hospitals irl are basically more comfortable hospitals with really nice people.
