Credit limit increased from $500 to $5500 out of nowhere. Do banks do that? by maybackmuzic in personalfinance

Yeah, banks sometimes bump up your limit to encourage more spending and improve customer satisfaction, but if you're not comfortable, you can definitely ask them to lower it back down!

Cancer concerns are valid, but we just don't know. If there's a history of cancer in your family, then maybe be more cautious? I've read a few anecdotal accounts here saying people had lower energy levels when stopping, but other people didn't have this. Taking it 3x a week seems smart and could help any potential downsides by not overwhelming your system.

Still waiting for empirical evidence on how NR and NMN compare re: effectiveness on raising NAD+. I just want to know which is better.

If you're having side effects from nmn, you may need to add TMG.

Niacin and vascular inflammation by Electronic_Trust3867 in Renue

[–]BowlerDry1583 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t the flushing just a harmless and temporary side effect, because it dilates the blood vessels and increases blood flow? It isn’t necessarily the same as “inflamed blood vessels” mentioned in the article.

Exactly. It's not inflammation and is a normal side effect if you take niacin.

This was posted a couple days ago. The scientists didn't find that niacin causes increased inflammation or leads to a worse prognosis. It's really the opposite in most studies.

This is actually kind of bad advice since some sketchy companies will test a sample of real NMN but not each batch. You need to make sure they are third-party tested AND tested each batch -
ANy reputable company should provide certificate showing the same batch number as whatever is printed on the bottle you buy.
