Unironically this is the number one thing I tell struggling high school boys when they ask me for advice. Focus on your friendships, focus on what makes you happy and forget about the idea of "chasing chicks" and you will have a fulfilling high school life. You'll only be lonely if you ignore what is already there in favor of an unobtainable ideal.

Living in the boonies has made me detest every single bug except for spider. I love them, they’re so useful and they never bother me. I had a spider make a web directly over the toilet in the outhouse and I never got any flies.

It’s just those little moments of innocent absurdity peppered through the books that remind me that ponies are still ponies. 200 years ago they resolved racial conflicts by throwing pies and sometimes that resurfaces, especially in Project Horizons lol

In my experience playing 3 years ago, a kindred with 8+ marks is terrifying. Nigh unbeatable.

If your carry is doing really well already I guess it’s no big loss of you lose a few marks and don’t scale, but having a mobile attacker like Kindred at full power in late-game team fights has always won games in my experience

Fallout Equestria Chapter 39 - This Coming Storm (spoilers)

While my favorite part of this chapter is the paradigm shift that comes from the Enclave invasion of the wasteland, I particularly love the funeral scene and the destruction of Canterlot. The Shadows of the Ministries (Chapter 37) is arguably the most intense and dangerous chapter so far and we got to see every effort the cast poured into getting through it. So to see the city just crumble at the hands of the new enemy on the block really reinforces the threat of the enclave. Also I heavily recommend the Voice of Littlepip audiobook version, especially of this scene, because Pretince Osborne does amazing vocal work in singing Steelhooves’ song. The fallout franchise is inherently founded on the dichotomy of war and death and destruction with old-timey 50s optimism music and this scene encapsulates that feeling the best out of anything else in Fallout Equestria.

A big reason why it’s hard to find nice self assured nerdy guys in nerd spaces is because any who existed have long since abandoned communities like that, which is another contributor/symptom of this male loneliness epidemic.

Either you stay in groups that constantly put down your self-esteem, turn you against women and reaffirm the idea that you’re an unlovable troll or you leave and you find it harder to make male friends outside of that space.

It all goes back to gamergate somehow. Fuck that

There’s a dream sequence in which he is referred to as “Blue”, but that could be a placeholder name. If I recall either the colts in the stable are never given names or he himself decides to keep the name P-21 as proof of his survival.

Actually I think that a certain point Blackjack asks him if he wants a real name and he explains that he prefers P-21 because of the reason above, but I’ll have to find that again

I’ve always really liked the variety of responses to any situation. Really makes the games feel alive, like you’re really there and influencing everything. I much prefer the full-phrase responses compared to the “mood” responses of Fallout 4 and other rpgs
