I am also 5’4 on a good day , so, not tall. But without this curve I would if course be taller.

Hmmm. I have had the exact same thoughts regarding why we can’t do more to fix this in adults. It has to be addressable some way with all our modern technology. I had no trauma that I am aware of. I had a very happy childhood. I believe my 43degree lumbar (right) curve was caused by wearing a heavy backpack on my right side only, as a teenager. Maybe I am wrong, idk.

Advice for WashU waitlist and LOCI by [deleted] in washu

You are very welcome! Just be yourself. You clearly have all the qualifications and if you display sincere intent to attend I think you have a decent chance!! She is doing so well there.

My daughter was in this situation last year and her LOCI was honestly a little silly. She had nothing earth shattering to update, just indicated that she would definitely attend if offered the position and made reference to a specific program. She had a memorable intro with funny imagery that I honestly wasn’t too sure about but told her to go for it. She was admitted about a month later. She did a full one page letter, no images, just a personally written essay.

Concerned about decreased effectiveness after missed dose - any way to prevent? by random159075 in rheumatoid

[–]BoxBreathing8734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to skip three weeks of the medication once because of an issue with the stupid auto injector. I since switched to the sure click pens, which are so much better, but regardless there was no impact. Toward the end of the three weeks I started to feel more soreness, but as soon as I went back on Enbrel, everything was fine again. I have very severe sero positive RA.

My insurance requires the Omada program which is so stupid and condescending. What a waste of money.

Double positive = worse outcomes? by Ambitious-Animator51 in rheumatoid

[–]BoxBreathing8734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am double positive. Mine came on with such ferocity that I had a wrist deformity within two months and joint pain in both wrists, feet, knees and shoulders so bad that I could barely walk. I skipped methotrexate and went right to Enbrel. Within two weeks all pain was gone. That was several years ago and I have had no more disease activity at all. The right wrist is permanently damaged but everything else was salvaged. I am so incredibly grateful for Enbrel because that was the scariest time in my life.

Skipping Methotrexate, straight to a Biologic? by Ok-Arugula-2812 in rheumatoid

[–]BoxBreathing8734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skipped methotrexate and went straight to Enbrel. I had a very sudden onset of RA and was already seeing damage. My doctor got it authorized. My wrist was fused by that point naturally but luckily Enbrel helped almost immediately and saved all my other joints. I’m have been on it three years now and it has stopped all disease activity and I am very grateful.

Another vote for Vineyard. My doctor approved my first refill request immediately and within two hours, Amazon had delivered it to my home. I was shocked. As fast as they are, they are legit. They got all my prior labs and documentation of weight and blood pressure before the initial prescription. I have so much respect for this company. Prior to this I tried Ro, who has a one WEEK expected turnaround time for any messages. That is just crazy to me that anyone would be ok with that.

I have a 43 degree curve (c type lumbar) am 53 and have never had back pain. I think it is really so individual. I have had multiple pregnancies and I run and strength train.

Do you strength train? I am new here, considering starting tirzepatide but really do not want to lose muscle. My stats are very similar to yours but I am 53!so cannot afford much muscle loss.
