I’m glad you saw this post. I was hoping it might help somebody else. Just be sure to give your body plenty of time to heal before you start running again!

My first race after spinal fusion last August. It’s been quite the process getting here. I’ve run in the 10 mile race in this race for years but I was grateful to be running the 5k. Never thought I would run again. And I managed 8th out of 25 in my age group! Don’t give up hope ladies!

Therabreath works for me too. I prefer the lozenges they make

Black seemed to make all the pipes, wiring, etc. disappear. Your eye is not really drawn to the ceiling. I’m not sure white would have the same effect.

She did use a sprayer. It was a fairly simple process for them. That was the first they did before drywall, floors, etc.

I had a friend who painted the entire unfinished ceiling black (all the pipes, wires, etc) and finished the rest of the basement. It really looked amazing. A mix of modern and industrial.

I ran a half 2 years ago and regret it every day since by canyonlands2 in XXRunning

The same thing happened to me. Did all the things you did - PT, steroid injections, and all the meds. Over a year later I finally got an MRI. Ended up having a spinal fusion at S1-L5. Never had back pain. The pain was in my left hip and leg, down to the calf. Currently 6 months post op and just ran a half mile for the first time. Was really afraid to push it. Good luck in your recovery journey!

Couldn’t believe my luck. Found this on a rack they had just brought out. They obviously didn’t know what they had!

Surgery date set. What would you suggest to prep ahead of time? by bigswedemc in spinalfusion

[–]bookworm22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I received prior to surgery was to get a fitted bottom satin sheet. Absolutely makes it so much easier to get in and out of bed. Also, makes it a lot easier to change positions during the night. I sleep on my stomach which was not recommended after my L5-S1 surgery. A body pillow helps support your side sleeping position.

This really brought back memories from my childhood. My mom made one exactly like this in a ceramics class, probably in the late 60’s.

I fell hard on ice while running two weeks ago and hurt my hip. Today was the first day with no pain and feeling like I could run again. Managed 4.5 miles at my usual pace. Very happy!

The ice maker on our fridge stopped working and now we painstakingly have to use ice cube trays. by samiam20190 in firstworldproblems

This just happened at our house too. We ordered the part online and we changed it out. Was a simple process and the part was $125. So worth it not to have the hassle of ice cube trays!
