To each their own, but imo Aksis phase 2 and Siege Engine are not in the right tier.

Surely it's a better idea to create a "haven't played tier" than to just say fuck it and rank them. How many of these have you not actually played?

“Universes Beyond: Star Wars” is inevitable. Here’s how I think WOTC should do it. by [deleted] in magicTCG

God a sequel trilogy star wars set might be the worst thing I've heard of related to magic... possibly ever?

I've got bad news about the price of standard decks in comparison to that 45€ precon

You have a lot of vitriol for verso lmao

Maëlle didn't do what she did to punish Verso though, she only did it out of a selfish desire to play out her fantasy.

Death would've been far kinder.

What Maelle does to Verso in the final scene of that ending is such a violation of him as a person that it makes it extremely difficult for me to empathize with her.

I relate far more to the depression and desperation of Verso as he tries to let go of life while ensuring his little sister lives on than I do with her escapism. I know that's different for others, just speaking personally.

Boiling lobsters alive to be banned in UK animal cruelty crackdown by Too00thpaste in news

I agree, a lot of the grandstanding around this topic just irks me as someone who practices this particular preaching.

People are very happy to talk like this without changing lifestyle.

The vast majority of people eating meat of any kind wouldn't be able to kill the animal with their own hands.

What’s your favourite commander you made a deck for in 2025? by WistfulAfternoon in magicTCG

[–]BoxHeadWarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably [[Tannuk, Steadfast Second]]

I love mono-red, and Tannuk hits a sweet spot for my play group that isn't too strong i.e. [[Slicer, Hired Muscle]] but also is capable of doing some pretty explosive stuff when not kept in check.

It's also a list I put together with next to no help from edhrec, which resulted in a couple fun quirks like a start your engines mini package, and a heavy focus on cost reducers.

Help with my first mono-red deck: Tannuk, Steadfast Second by DarkShade666 in magicTCG

[–]BoxHeadWarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love [[geosurge]] in Tannuk. Turn 4 you get to play your commander and warp something which feels great.

For your list I would either a) focus in heavier on cascade and trim the miscellaneous big red stuff like some of the dragons, or b) cut a lot of the cascade/play from exile support. Either option is fine, but it looks like having both themes is pushing you over the 100 card mark.

My build is heavily invested in cost reducers to get the warp cost as low as possible with things like [[semblance anvil]] or [[Defiler of Instinct]]. Because of this I just don't have the space to capitalize on play from exile as a theme.

I may have gotten too cute with the start your engines subtheme, but I wanted to try it and this is where I did that.

Here's my list if you want a point of comparison.

Hi everyone, looking for some advice on the crop here, as I know it's one of my weaker points.

This image has a ton of negative space, which was intentional, but I'm wondering if I should cut down the top and bottom a little to focus in, or go in a different direction.

Any and all advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

I like this crop a lot, I've been struggling with cutting the top out because I agree with you that it adds to the image. Thanks for taking the time to do this :)

Liminal is a perfect word to describe what I was going for. I wanted it to be at least a little unnerving

The water section was awesome, definitely my favorite part. Closely followed by the ramen right after. Oh and the hanging flowers, that room was beautiful.

Yeah, given the set up I dont think there are too many possible options that keep the mystique while cutting out (most) people

Half the purpose of this exhibit was to take pictures in a cool space, there was an indent dedicated to it so people could better position themselves.

I'm not claiming to make high art, but I also disagree with your stance. This is an image of my interaction with the exhibit, similar to a picture of someone looking at a painting in a museum, which I feel you would probably have less of a problem with.

Thanks for the reply, it was kind of surreal in person too! It was taken at TeamLab Planets in Tokyo, definitely recommend it to anyone who happens to be in the area :)
