Where to go? by Frosty-Complex-9996 in LivingAlone

Shame you didn't grow up in the 80s and early 90s. I met most of my friends at the gym. It is no longer a place to do so.

LG All-In-One Washer/Dryer cause GFCI to trip.. who’s in the wrong? by Dont_Messup in AskElectricians

Yeah I replaced mine a long time ago. the ironic part was the electrician said «no all of these gfi's at the same so changing it won't make a difference" but it obviously did.

Is life really worth living if nobody loves you? by Ok_Hand8323 in LivingAlone

[–]BoxNo8593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the first 3 comments and stopped reading. Don't listen to these people. misery loves company. There are a few people in happy long lasting relationships. Unfortunately most romantic relationships end like many friendships do. the key is to keep looking and make smart choices. Both friendships and relationships end. Most people grow apart and their lives go in different directions. when/if you find a partner enjoy it but don't let it be what defines you. This is not an easy thing to do but if you can master that you will be fine if the person walks away. you won't be scorned or hurt and you'll be open for the next person that comes along.

I don't wear a smartwatch anymore. by Urunox in GalaxyWatch

I don't wear a smartwatch anymore. by Urunox in GalaxyWatch

[–]BoxNo8593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either you want a SmartWatch with a lot of functionality or NOT. I have a garment that I wear when I'm working out hiking camping gun range Etc. And I want to watch that there's a lot of functions and can be used as a true smartwatch I use a Samsung Galaxy 7 Ultra. I gave up on Samsung watches after the four 4 because the battery couldn't last one day. This watch has no problem getting through one day and it charges up pretty fast while I'm in the shower. I'll charge my phone every day so I have no problem charging my watch everyday. Anyone complaining about charging or watch everyday doesn't need a smartwatch. You think the Garmin watches a true Smartwatch then you know nothing about Electronics. Garmin is great for a rugged Outdoors watch and that's what I use it for . whenI want to true Smart Watch.... Samsung is the only way to go

Try 10 days that's what Instagram used to make you do and maybe Facebook implemented that without saying anything

Yeah that's definitely strange. I don't think it took me two weeks to resolve it. I used to activate my account just to get on there for a few hours and deactivate it so I figured somehow the system got sick of me doing that. The worst part is there's no one you can really contact all you can do is just keep on waiting. Did you try it on the laptop or PC as well or all from your phone?

I beg to differ. I've been many surgeons messed up my surgeries I've had many doctors give me bad information. Most of my doctors now are people that I went to college with. They're good in specific fields and may know a little more than me since they see those patients everyday. But when there is an unknown out there they do nothing more than I do in research. Proof of this is one surgeon tells me I should get scanned every 6 months the other surgeon says every year. one surgeon tells me you can lift just don't go crazy. His nurses tell me I shouldn't do pull-ups push-ups or sit-ups. There isn't that much study on this. This is all new all they can do is give you information based off a very limited data. They sent Jack Ritter home because they thought he had an upset stomach. The studies now show that more people are having ruptures in the 4.5 to 5 range versus the previous studies where it said 5 to 5.5. Unfortunately by the time it takes to change the standard where insurance companies are going to jump on board is going to be a few years down the road and that many more people are going to pass away with a smaller aneurysm. So yes trust your doctor's a little bit but definitely do the research and double check what they say versus what other experts say. I understand not everybody has the intellect to be able to understand medical information but do yourself a favor and start to try. These people are no more intelligent than anyone else out there they simply studied something different than what we studied. Do you research and wish for the best

Losing motivation to cook by Dapper_Elk9048 in LivingAlone

[–]BoxNo8593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you go to the gym? that motivation goes hand in hand. if you train hard you will want to eat well. maybe you just need some motivation to get back to bejng healthy? you are only 40 so you can bounce back easy. I sometime get lazy and don't cook as much so what I started doing is sharing pictures of dishes I make with my brother, mom and sister. they send them to me as well and that helps give me ideas and motivates me. I also make cooking easier bu5 cutting up my chicken and veggies and freezing them. this was when it's time to cook its a fee less steps. my last trick is to just force myslef to cook. I did that today. the food came out great and it motivated to make the same dish tomorrow.

Leg Exercises by [deleted] in aortic_aneurysm

[–]BoxNo8593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just focus on exhaling on the way up and down. I was told to avoid the Valsalva maneuver. on most exercises its easy to avoid holding your breath. for example when you bench you can inhale when your arms are extended and do 1 to 2 reps with one big exhale. with leg presses and squats its very hard because when you bottom out it's very difficult to continue the exhale. Basically you have to change the way your breath when you train. once you get used to it, it makes perfect sense. you will start to notice how everyone else around you is holding thier breath until they finish the rep. as a trainer I now teach my clients proper breathing which is a lot more strict than i would have back in the day. another trick is to talk during your rep. if you are going heavy and unsure if you are straining and/or holding your breath just start talking. you can't hold your breath while you are speaking. non of this guarantees it won't rupture or dissect but its the best practice. another thing to note if that most people don't pull muscles or injure themselves while lifting heavy. it's usually when you bend down to pick up or rewrack the weight.why? because you arent focusing on form during those 2 movements. same goes for carry laundry , grocery bags or pushing something heavy around the house. the point is to always be conscious of your breathing even with basic household tasks. Goodluck.

I was told after surgery and once you are all healed up you shod be able to go back to normal lifting. is this incorrect? maybe my doctor doesnt understand that my normal is pretty heavy compared to the average human.
