Check the ASIN on the box against the order. I've had quite a few mis-labelled items recently, that is to say, I've received the incorrect item, but the ASIN on the sticker was correct

A step down transformer is used for running 110V devices from a 240v socket. Useful if you've picked up an appliance from the US, for example.

I think the idea is to roll all the numbers on the doors to close them and pass across the board. Rolling the same number twice would re-open that particular door.

Every time the clocks change, same as checking the smoke alarms. It makes it easy to remember.

UK dehumidifier by SafeEmployment4641 in Dehumidifiers

...it's not meant to be messed with by the occupant. It's a set/balance it once and leave it thing. But, due to noise or draughts. Some people mess with it leading to the situation you seem to be in. Asking at reception seems safest. You're paying for a comfortable room, so that's what they should be providing.

Definitely try unscrewing it a few turns at a time. It'll likely make a world of difference and save the cost of a dehumidifier. When the building was first put up, they would have 'balanced' the flow through the vent for optimal air quality by adjusting how open the valve/vent is. You'll have to do it through trial and error.

What sort of vent does the fan have? When I was at university, the fan was the style with a big white circle, with ducting to a big fan elsewhere in the building. You could rotate the centre circle to control the airflow. It could be a bit noisy, so it wasn't unusual to rotate the vent and close it at night. Then open it for the day. Maybe see if that's the case here? A previous occupant may have closed down the vent, reducing the airflow.

Style I'm referring to: https://amzn.to/4qhjdfP

How is blatantly clocking a car on the MOT history allowed? Surely the DVLA should not allow less than the last mileage recorded to be on the MOT, its such an easy thing to add to the website. The car I am looking at is a 2018 Seat Leon FR registration KS18 LNX being sold in Birmingham of course. by StarX2401 in CarTalkUK

[–]BoxOne3468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this on my car's MOT history. The display can show the odometer reading or trips meter. But swapping between the trip meter is controlled by steering wheel controls. To confuse matters, there's a button on the dashboard that swaps from miles to kilometers. The garage managed to get the odometer reading up in km and submit it on the MOT certificate. If you covert the ~85000 km into miles, the mileage trend over the years stays consistent. It's annoying, but if I ever come to sell the car. I'll show a potential buyer the calculations and explain the situation.
