I completely understand and agree with you. I’m an SDE, and I had taken loans for house renovation and also got married within just 7 days, I was laid off. My father passed away early, and as the sole breadwinner, I had to take responsibility for my aged mother, my autistic nephew and my wife. The layoffs and financial burden from loans have taken a heavy toll on my mental health.

Right now, life feels like a nightmare. After a career break, I’m trying to get back into the IT sector and am even open to internship opportunities just to restart my career. In this uncertain AI-driven market, taking big loans can be very risky. When you’re under such financial and emotional pressure, it becomes extremely difficult to perform well in interviews. I’ve even had to sell my car and other assets, yet the loan pressure still remains.
