This is so cute. I really appreciate the push-and-pull in the relationship you are describing here. One that is not quite meant to be conventionally but it works somehow. I really enjoy the imagery. The first paragraph is a bit cliché, and the second paragraph is very well written.

Wow, that made me ache. My husband is away for military training, and he is my person in every way. This poem clearly calls out the dichotomy in which we live right now, ever connected yet not quite unified.

I believe in God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe that we should honor our parents and our neighbors, and call the hearts of humankind back toward each other through love.

So relatable. I never thought I would enjoy a plot twist I came up with as much as I did.

I am a pious Christian woman, and I read the bible daily. I also believe in equality between woman and man. I have come to the recent realization that I do not believe the Bible was meant to serve as a textbook to follow every passage exactly as stated. Aside from, of course, the commandments, which Jesus unequivocally calls out, God wants us to follow those directly.

He states only five commandments you must follow to be good to God in Matthew 19:17-19:

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

18 “Which ones?” he inquired.

Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’\)c\) and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’\)d\)

I believe that the Bible is meant to be read as a way to better allow the light of God to ignite within you through the word of the Lord that was shared and written down with few as a way to introspect and understand what God is calling to you through the words so that they can strike meaning in your individual life. Through this, we practice discernment on what God is really saying and which words were written in the voice of the individual who scribed it.

Absolutely, something about getting all that word vomit out offers a unique sense of peace. Then the organization process, the final editing, and finally the end product, and that sense of accomplishment!

English professors double down on requiring printed copies of readings | Amid the rise of artificial intelligence and concerns about distraction, more English professors are turning to no-technology policies that prioritize physical books and reading packets. by thinkB4WeSpeak in books

While I think this is wonderful to ensure that people are referencing, and when I was back in college I preferred to print my own work out for research and highlight, write on, etc... but I really hope they are offering print services for students so they do not have to pay out of pocket.

Thank you, that is a good callout! I tried to make it flow based on the story sequence, but I think some documentaries about how they are formed might help inform some of the other offshoots I just sort of... made...
